Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive at Cairo airport where your transfer waits to take you to your hotel. After settling in, the rest of your first evening is yours to relax and get oriented to the city.

- Day 2
Cairo to Alexandria
Following breakfast, you'll head north to Alexandria for the day. Start at the Citadel of Qaitbay, a 15th-century fortress standing where the ancient Pharos Lighthouse once stood. Next you'll walk through Montazah Gardens, the former royal family summer retreat, then see the Mosque of Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi with its detailed Islamic design. Before heading back to Cairo, you'll check out Stanley Bridge that crosses the eastern harbor. The drive back takes place in the evening.

- Day 3
Cairo to Amman
You'll land at Amman airport and get transferred to your hotel. After checking in, your guide gives you the lay of the land, pointing out nearby shops, cafes, and restaurants. From there, you're free to walk around Amman and get a feel for the city at your own pace.

- Day 4
Amman
The morning takes you north to Jerash, where Roman structures remain exceptionally well-preserved. This ancient site has seen human activity for more than 6,500 years. You'll return to Amman by early afternoon to explore its historic center, visiting the Citadel (where the Temple of Hercules once stood), the Umayyad Palace, the Byzantine Church, and the Roman Theatre that seats 6,000. The white-colored buildings of the city give Amman its nickname.

Amman to Petra
You'll travel south on the scenic King's Highway, passing through deep valleys, olive groves, and small villages. Stop in Madaba to see the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George and its famous 6th-century mosaic map showing the Holy Land. Later you'll reach Mt. Nebo for views across the Jordan Valley toward the Holy Land. After passing through Wadi al-Mujib, you'll tour Kerak Castle, an imposing 12th-century Crusader stronghold. You arrive in Petra as evening falls, with an optional candlelit walk through the Siq to the Treasury if you're not too tired.

- Day 6
Petra to Wadi Rum
Most of your day focuses on Petra itself. A guided 2 to 3 hour walk takes you through the Siq to the iconic Treasury, then you'll have free time to explore independently. Options include hiking to the Monastery (50 meters high), the High Place of Sacrifice, or Lion Fountain - these walks cover at least 3 kilometers through the Siq and back, plus several more kilometers with over 800 steps to the Monastery. Horse carriages and donkeys are available if walking isn't ideal. In the afternoon, you'll travel to Wadi Rum's desert to stay at a Bedouin camp, have dinner, and spend the night under the stars.

Wadi Rum to Dead Sea to Amman
After breakfast, you'll take a jeep through Wadi Rum's desert, seeing the tall rust-colored rock formations. Then you'll drive north along the Dead Sea coastline, which sits over 400 meters below sea level - the lowest point on earth. You'll stop to float in the mineral-rich Dead Sea waters where the salt content makes buoyancy almost effortless. By evening, you'll be back at your Amman hotel.

- Day 8
Amman to Cairo
You'll head to Amman airport for your flight to Cairo. After landing, staff will help you get your visa and collect luggage before transferring to your hotel. Once you check in, the rest of the day is yours. An optional dinner cruise on the Nile is available if you want to see the city from the water.

- Day 9
Cairo to Giza to Luxor
You'll visit the three great pyramids at Giza built around 2500 BC by Pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. An Egyptologist guide explains the construction and purpose behind these structures. You have the option to go inside one of the pyramids. You'll also see the Sphinx, which was fully uncovered during the 1920s. After this, you'll drive south through Nile Valley towns and villages, arriving in Luxor by evening.

- Day 10
Luxor
Luxor holds the largest collection of ancient ruins in the Nile Valley. The West Bank has mortuary temples and tombs carved into rocky mountains (called the City of the Dead), while the East Bank features Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, and the Avenue of Sphinxes connecting them. An optional illuminated evening tour of Luxor Temple is available, or you can check out local cafes, play backgammon, and try shisha with people in town. You're staying at a comfortable 4-star hotel with a pool overlooking the Nile.

Luxor West Bank
You'll cross to the West Bank to see the Temple of Queen Hatchepsut and several tombs in the Valley of the Kings. You'll learn about the ancient workers at Deir El-Medina and see the massive Colossi of Memnon. The afternoon leaves you free to rest at the hotel or optionally visit Karnak temple complex. A hot air balloon flight over the West Bank is also possible if you start early at sunrise.

Dendara and Abydos
Today you'll visit the temples of Dendara and Abydos, which fewer tourists see but are quite significant. Dendara was built for the Goddess Hathor and is known for its excellent condition, often becoming visitors' favorite site. Abydos served as a religious center for Osiris, the god of the dead, and functioned as a necropolis where pilgrims came to be buried. At least ten temples were originally constructed here.

- Day 13
Edfu to Aswan
You'll see the Edfu Temple (Temple of Horus), a well-preserved structure built between 237 and 57 BC during the Ptolemaic period. You'll explore its rectangular layout with halls, shrines, courtyards covered in carvings and hieroglyphs, and the grand pylon entrance rising 36 meters. Then you'll sail by felucca to Kom Ombo Temple, a double temple honoring gods Horus and Sobek with a symmetrical design. The felucca continues sailing to Aswan where you'll spend the night aboard, with a support boat providing toilet and shower facilities.

- Day 14
Aswan to Cairo
An optional early morning trip takes you 3 hours from Aswan to Abu Simbel, a UNESCO World Heritage site with temples carved into the hillside by Ramses II. These temples were moved when Lake Nasser flooded the area. If you skip this, you can explore Aswan's markets and waterfront or visit the Nubian Museum. In the afternoon, take a boat to the Temple of Philae dedicated to Isis, also rescued from rising water. You'll return to Cairo in the evening to check into a hotel in the city center.

Cairo Departure
You have free time for final sightseeing or shopping before heading to the airport. If your flight leaves in the afternoon or evening, you can visit the Egyptian Museum or explore more of Cairo this morning. Additional nights in Cairo can be arranged if you want to stay longer.
