Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival Cairo

    You'll arrive at Cairo International Airport and get picked up by private car with air conditioning for the drive to your hotel. After settling in and checking your room, head out for an evening Nile dinner cruise with live folklore performances and a belly dancer, all included with transfers back to the hotel. If your flight lands late in the day, this cruise moves to day 2 instead.

  2. Day 2

    Cairo

    Start with breakfast at the hotel, then your guide takes you to the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, pyramid of Khafre, pyramid of Menkaure, three smaller pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and Valley Temple. Have lunch at a local restaurant in the area, then head to the Egyptian Museum to walk through galleries holding over 250,000 ancient artifacts including King Tutankhamun's golden treasures. You'll transfer back to your hotel by late afternoon.

  3. Day 3

    Cairo to Luxor

    After breakfast, you're driven to the domestic airport for your flight to Luxor. Your guide meets you there and you'll start on the East Bank visiting Karnak Temple and then Luxor Temple with its obelisk and the 13th century Mosque of Abu el-Haggag. Lunch comes at a fine local restaurant, then cross to the West Bank to see Queen Hatshepsut's Mortuary Temple at Deir el-Bahari. From there head to Valley of the Kings to explore 3 royal tombs including King Tutankhamun's, see the Colossi of Memnon, and drive back to Cairo.

    Departure Cairo

    After breakfast at your hotel, you'll get transferred to the airport for your flight home. An Ancient Egypt Tours representative picks you up and takes you there. If your flight leaves very early, the hotel can pack a breakfast box for you to take along.

    This company is a scam! They hooked me into buying the tour as they advertised a 50% discount and the description originally said "domestic flights included". However the following day after I paid in full for two people they said they "misquoted". They said domestic flights are NOT INCLUDED and that I have to pay an additional $200 per person for a roundtrip flight and that the room "upgrade"is another extra $100 for us to stay in the same room. I asked why the description changed and they denied flights having ever been included, and why it would be more expensive to stay in one room instead of two. But I was stupid enough to get convinced and paid the extras anyway because I was afraid I wouldn't get any refund if I cancel according to the company policy. I found out after the fact when I did more researched websites that the price they charge is

    Booked the 4 days tour of Cairo and Luxor few months in advance. Closer to the date I had to change my arrival and remove Luxor from the itinerary. The team was very accommodating and respectful (Salwa was very outstanding and responsive) My reception was a bit choppy due to mix up of terminal information and language barrier. We were fortunate to have the same driver, Belal through out the stay, he was polite and courteous but his driving skills very downright scary. He was extremely fast and reckless, partly because of Cairo traffic ( no traffic lights in the entire city) but we happen to take Uber, who too was driving in Cairo, but was far more careful. We were placed at the Pyramids Park Resort, which is not a 4 star hotel by any standard, very dated, and needs up keep- but was decent. The room was spacious and comfortable. The included breakfast buffet was very nice. We added the Nile boat cruise with dinner, the entertainment was comical (some guy with a Karaoke machine) at best, and food was ordinary. Maybe take the sunset time, because we couldn’t enjoy the view in the dark. Next day, along with Belal our guide Rehma took us to the Pyramids and museum. It was great- she was very knowledgeable and sweet. But I did not like or appreciate the unsolicited stops at the fragrance (especially the fragrance place, very obnoxious salesman) papyrus or cotton stores. It is high pressured tactics to buy their products - you can say no, but you get unnecessary attitude from everyone. But I only had to give this feedback to Rehma and she noted it for the next day, very sweet! Oh the hotel is far from everything, so you can’t really venture out on your own ( I think by design) The last day, instead of Luxor we did Old Cairo, very grand and interesting! In all I would definitely recommend the tour, it was well packed, safe, (minus the driving) and informative - just ask questions, lay out your expectations and be prepared. Have fun!

    We had a great time in Egypt. The hotel was good. Not great, but comfortable, and I would go there again. The tour guides were both exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable and nice to be with. However, our tour was scheduled to go to the Valley of the Kings, which required a flight. This flight was not booked until we arrived there, at which time we were asked to pay for it, which we did. However, turns out the plane was full, so we couldn't go, and had to substitute Alexandria instead. The added expense was not appreciated, although we got the money back of course, but not booking a flight until we got there was a bad idea. The Pyramids are breathtaking. Egypt is an eye opener, and worth the trip. Alexandria is a dud. Also, we had our own private driver the entire time we were there, which was very nice. Over all, I was satisfied with the whole package, but I wish the flights, including the expense, had been booked well ahead of time.

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 40 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
