Itinerary
- Day 1
Frankfurt to Muscat
Your flight departs Frankfurt in the evening on Oman Air, heading non-stop toward Muscat. You'll have the evening to settle in before departure.
- Day 2
Muscat
Landing early morning in Muscat, you'll get transferred to your hotel for check-in. Your guide meets you at 1 pm to start the city tour, which takes in the Royal Opera House, Al Alam Palace with its historic Portuguese forts, and the bustling Muttrah Souk. After walking the Corniche, you'll head out on a two-hour sunset dhow cruise later.

Muscat to Jabal Akhdar
Following breakfast, you visit the Sultan Qaboos Mosque, one of the largest in the world. Then it's a drive south through Fanja to Birkat Al Mawuz, where you'll walk through date plantations and learn about the traditional Falaj irrigation system. An off-road vehicle takes you up to Jebel Akhdar's Sayq Plateau for hikes through three villages with terraced gardens, including Wadi Bani Habib, before reaching your mountain hotel.

Jabal Akhdar to Nizwa
Starting from Jabal Akhdar, you'll drive toward Jabal Shams with a stop in Al Hamra to walk the old town and visit Bait Al Safah Museum to see traditional coffee roasting, flour grinding, and bread baking. Later you'll pass through Misfah al Abriyeen for a short walk and a rest at a local café. You reach Jebel Shams for views over Wadi Ghul, then travel by minibus to Nizwa for the night.

- Day 5
Nizwa to Wahiba Sands
Nizwa's 17th-century fortress and lively souk are your morning focus. From there, you'll drive through the desert past Ibra and Al Minsifah toward Wahiba Sands, switching to a four-wheel drive for the dune approach. You watch the sunset from the dunes before heading to your desert camp for dinner.

Wahiba Sands
An optional sunrise camel ride is available this morning for an extra fee (paid locally), or you can enjoy it after breakfast if preferred. Later you transfer to the desert edge and drive to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman's most beautiful oases. You'll swim in the deep blue wadi waters beneath dramatic mountain cliffs, then stop at a Bedouin house on the way back to camp.

Wahiba Sands to Ras al-Hadd
Heading back to the coast, you'll visit Sur's traditional dhow shipyard where wooden merchant ships are still handmade. A photo stop at the lighthouse comes next before driving to Ras al Hadd and checking into your hotel by afternoon. After an early dinner, you head to Ras al Jinz beach around sunset for a chance to see sea turtles in their natural environment, getting back to the hotel around 11 pm.

Ras al-Hadd to Muscat
You travel back toward Muscat with photo stops at Quriyat for views of the Gulf of Oman and mountain scenery. Next is Wadi Shab, rated as one of Oman's 10 most beautiful wadis, where a 30-minute hike through gardens leads you to turquoise pools with dramatic cliff backdrops and waterfalls. After swimming, you'll see Bimah Sinkhole, one of the world's most beautiful natural pools. Evening brings a farewell dinner at a traditional Arabic restaurant in Muscat.
