    Dublin to Kinsale

You'll leave Dublin and head south through Ireland's green farming regions toward Cork. Along the way, stop at Cahir Castle, which sits on an island in the River Suir and dates back centuries. From there, it's on to Blarney Castle where you can walk the grounds and, if you're interested, kiss the famous Blarney Stone (legend has it you'll gain the gift of eloquence). The Jameson Whiskey Distillery comes next on the itinerary, and you'll get a tour of how Irish whiskey is made with a tasting included. By evening you'll arrive in Kinsale, a fishing village right on the coast with narrow streets painted in bright colors and plenty of pubs where locals gather.

You'll travel along the Copper Coast, which is protected as a UNESCO Geopark for its geological features and coastal scenery. Next comes Waterford, Ireland's oldest city founded by Vikings back in the 9th century, where you can visit the crystal factory, check out the museums, or wander through the Viking Triangle district. From there, travel to Kilkenny, and you'll find plenty of restaurants and pubs to explore during the evening once you arrive.

Our guide, Killian, was great! Overall, the accommodations were perfect, except tub/showers were very deep and difficult to maneuver. Tour could have been one day shorter---or included Cork.
