Colombo to Negombo
A driver meets you at Colombo International Airport and takes you to Negombo Beach Resort. You'll settle into your room and have the evening to relax by the beach, getting your first taste of Sri Lanka's coast.

Negombo to Sigiriya
This morning you're heading to the Negombo Fish Market near the waterfront to see local fishermen bring in their catch and watch the processing areas. You'll learn how the fishing trade works, including the dry fish section. After lunch, you travel to Sigiriya for the night.

Sigiriya
The day starts in Hiriwaduna village where you'll take a traditional bullcart ride and then a peaceful canoe ride. A local woman teaches you to make authentic Sri Lankan rice and curry, and you get to eat what you've prepared. Later in the afternoon, you can either hike up Pidurangala Rock to catch the sunset or go on a safari at Minneriya National Park to see wild Asian elephants.

Sigiriya to Kandy
You drive toward Kandy with a stop at a Matale spice garden to learn about Sri Lankan spices, how they're grown, their uses in medicine and cooking. Once in Kandy, you'll try some bakery items, have afternoon tea at Helga's Folly, watch a cultural performance, and finish the day with an evening blessing ceremony at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

Kandy to Dambana Vedda Village and back to Kandy
The drive takes you to Dambana Vedda Village where you'll meet members of the indigenous Vedda community and learn about their customs and traditions. Lunch features traditional food made from local ingredients, and you'll see demonstrations of traditional hunting tools and survival skills. Then you head back to Kandy for the night.

Kandy to Ella via Nuwara Eliya
After driving through tea plantations, you reach Nuwara Eliya and visit a working tea factory to see how Ceylon tea gets processed from harvest to drying. You'll taste different teas, then board a scenic train to Ella. The journey shows you mountain views, misty landscapes, waterfalls, and lush green valleys before you arrive at your accommodation.

Ella

Yala National Park Safari
Starting before dawn, you take a jeep into Yala National Park looking for leopards and other wildlife like elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, and different bird species. Your guides explain the park's ecosystem and conservation work. You're back at your accommodation by afternoon to rest.

You walk through the old Dutch fort, checking out the cobblestone streets and colonial buildings.

In the evening, you sample more local snacks such as hoppers and kottu roti at various street stalls before returning to your hotel for your final night.
