- VTVanessa· August 18th, 2024We’re a couple from Florida who decided to book this tour after a month of back-and-forth email exchanges with Lahiru to make sure everything would go smoothly. We’re food enthusiasts who travel every year to explore the local food culture. This year, we chose Sri Lanka because we had heard so much about its interesting cuisine back in the US. While researching online, especially on TourRadar, we noticed that many of Lahiru’s Skyhaven Tours clients are from the US. So We decided to contact Skyhaven Tours directly since we didn’t see any reviews about this particular tour. Lahiru was incredibly helpful, kind, and patient. He organized everything for us. This includes activities, lodges, transportation, and guides and even provided a detailed list of foods we could try on this tour. As promised, everything went smoothly and exceeded our expectations. We tried a lot of fruits, spicy foods, traditional Sri Lankan breakfasts like Milk Rice, and famous dishes such as Kottu, various curries, hoppers, and string hoppers, among many others. We also learned how to make a variety of curries and rice dishes, thanks to the wonderful chefs and wonderful village ladies who made this tour a success.
