Itinerary
- Day 1
Franschhoek - Paarl
Start this morning in Stellenbosch's winelands, about 20 minutes from Cape Town. You'll walk through vineyards learning about local grape varieties and Méthode Cap Classique champagne production. Then head to Franschhoek, known as the 'French corner', where you'll do wine tastings and try local cheeses. There's also a scenic tram ride through award-winning wine farms if you want that experience. After lunch, visit Drakenstein Prison to see where Nelson Mandela spent his final imprisonment months and check out the newly unveiled statue. Wrap up the day in Paarl, getting a feel for Afrikaans culture, climbing Pearl Mountain, and sampling the region's wines.

- Day 2
Cape Town to Cape Point
Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard heading to Cape Peninsula. You'll start at the beaches around Clifton and Camps Bay, both with Blue Flag status, then move to Hout Bay where you can walk through the fishing village, browse the harbor market, and grab fresh seafood for lunch. Next comes the scenic Chapman's Peak Drive, a 9km route with lookout points where you might spot whales and dolphins. The day finishes at Cape Point Nature Reserve, featuring rugged cliffs, over 250 bird species, and historic monuments honoring explorers Vasco da Gama and Bartolomeu Dias.

- Day 3
Robben Island and Table Mountain
Head to the V&A Waterfront Harbour early for a 30-minute boat cruise to Robben Island, the historic prison where Nelson Mandela and other freedom fighters were held. After returning to the mainland, you'll take the cable car up Table Mountain for panoramic views of Cape Town spread below, then ride back down to the base by late afternoon.
