- DDario· November 1st, 2016Logistic was really good; guide, porter and driver were really professional, always kind and eager to make us feel comfortable and at ease. Our vacation in Nepal was a wonderful one: we saw incredible landscapes and meet very nice people.Show moreTrip date: October 2014
- AAnonymous· May 25th, 2014“Rom should be guide of the year 2014” My boyfriend and I did the Langtang trekking. We were really lucky to have Rom from the booking agency ace the himalaya as our guide . He was very friendly, helpful and cared for us very well when we were sick. He was eager to tell us lots about the mountains, the beautiful nature and the Nepalese culture. He was not only a perfect guide, but also a great companion to us. We can also recommend the agency Ace the himalaya. They organised very good trips for us. They were very uncomplicated, we were able to change plans spontaneously. Asked on May 29th, 2017Do I need to tip my guide and porters? How much would that be?
- D
Dale
Traveler•Written May 2017This is a difficult thing to gauge. We have seen everything from USD 20 to USD 1000 per person for guides and porters. Tipping is not required, but a small gesture of thanks to your guides and local porters. The level of the tip should reflect the level of satisfaction from and personal involvement with your guide. However, we recommend you to spend minimum 10% of your total trip cost for tipping entire local staffs, the ratio of tipping guide and porter will be given to you at the pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu before starting the trek.

Dale
Asked on May 29th, 2017How much additional money do I need per day?
- D
