- CAColin· December 17th, 2024Tour company (Hi Argentina) books all the accomodations, bus tickets, and ferry ticket for you. The W-Trek is popular and well marked, so it's perfectly fine (and probably even better) to do without a tour guide. Some of the information in the itinerary they provide needs to be updated. On the last day of the itinerary, it said conflicting things about where the meeting points were for the ferry and the bus back to Puerto Natales. You have to carry ALL of your stuff with you on days 3-4 of the itinerary, so keep a room in Puerto Natales with our stuff and only bring the essentials for this trip. Also most places accept card, but bring cash (Chilean pesos) for backup. There are NO ATMs in Los TorresShow moreHi Travel Argentina commented on this reviewThank you for sharing your valuable feedback Colin! We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed the W-Trek and that the accommodations, bus, and ferry arrangements worked well for you. We also appreciate your observations about the itinerary — we’ll make sure... Show moreTrip date: December 2024
- MKMartin· February 25th, 2024It was a wonderful trek, incredible nature and nice hiking camps! Be aware, you hike 7-9 hours a day for 4 days…this is not for everybody. But its worth it!! Patagonia is the best :)Show moreHi Travel Argentina commented on this reviewThank you for your review Martin!Trip date: February 2024

- Adriene· November 26th, 2023Really enjoyed this trip!!! Overall well done. Only miscommunication was a two way street. I printed out all of my vouchers because sometimes the National Park was a little disorganized, so I was really glad I had. Other than the fact there was no orientation at the welcome center (I think that was the National Park, not the tour operator's issue), it all went as it was described. I bought waterproof pants in Puerto Natales, and I would recommend that (do not think that just quick drying is enough) and my boots were waterpoof. Patagonian spring was snowy on my first day.Show moreHi Travel Argentina commented on this reviewHi Adriene, thank you for sharing your experience! It was our pleasure to help you with your W Trek tour. All the best! Hi TravelTrip date: November 2023
- Adriene· November 19th, 2023Overall good- I loved the mountains & landscape. Unfortunately, we saw more wildlife on the way in from the bus (guanacos, rhea, condor, & fox) than I did in the park, so if you want that, get a guide. Things happen mostly as expected/explained. The directions are fairly easy to follow. I had one miscommunication, but I think that was on both parties. There was no stop at the welcome center other than the park employees scanning our QR codes & a bus transfer. Highly recommend waterproof boots. I also ended up buying & being profoundly grateful I had) waterproof pants because it snowed & rained on my first day to the Mirador Base de Torres (which we really couldn't see, but that is just weather). Food is meh, but you will be hungry after that amount of trekking.Show moreHi Travel Argentina commented on this reviewHi Adriene, thank you for sharing your experience with other passengers! - TVTara· November 12th, 2023Everything went pretty smoothly! We did have one issue with dinner one night that was booked for a different Refugio than we were staying for the night but fortunately they were able to accommodate us and feed us dinner. Tour radar made this booking process seem less and easy to navigate!Show moreHi Travel Argentina commented on this reviewHi Tara, thank you for your review! We are glad to hear you have enjoyed the W trek. We appreciate the comment about the meal to be able to talk this with the refugio. Very best! Hi TravelTrip date: November 2023
- MIMayumi· October 30th, 2023W Circuit experience was just amazing after all. But communication prior to start the whole experience was not something I would recommend to everyone. I started on Oct 15, which was just starting the season. The daily itinerary I received prior to departure, was based on peak season. The local operator didn't update based on the season/dates. Hours of everyday hike were more for better than average people. Itinerary also indicated there is a briefing a day before. But it was only virtual. Also, on the itinerary, the list of welcome gift, stainless steel drink bottle, sleeping bag liner, and microfiber towel. So based on this list I made adjustments what to bring. But when I checked in, the bottle was plastic. I have an allergy, I can't drink water out from the plastic...I was very disappointed. Anyway, Tourradar didn't do their part of job to make sure all information that local operator provided was all correct or not. Also there was critical information was missing. Which was all people enter the Torres del Paine national park required trekking poles and clipons(clips on trekking shoes for walking on snow). I brought my own, but I saw many people were looking for them in the town of Puerto Natales. All kind of critical information was missing out from final itinerary. You pay a lot of money, even for this self guided tour, I was expected to getting all information but it didn't.Show moreHi Travel Argentina commented on this reviewThank you for your detailed feedback Mayumi, we’re glad to hear you enjoyed the W Circuit overall, but we’re truly sorry for the frustrations you encountered along the way. - MNMatthew· October 22nd, 2022Unbelievable experience. The landscapes were dramatic beyond words; I felt as though I were visiting another planet. The refugios and the staff there were fantastic, as were the Hi Travel and Tour Radar team in corresponding to my questions and at organising the trip. A very well prepared day-by-day itinerary and equipment list provided by the tour operator was an enormous help, as I had never done a multiple day trek before and didn't know what to expect or to bring with me. I was a solo traveller doing the trek but felt in safe hands the whole time and met many friendly people along the way. Had the time of my life.Show moreHi Travel Argentina commented on this reviewHi Matthew, thank you for your kind words :) We are glad to hear you have enjoyed your time during your W trek.
