You'll arrive in Bordeaux and meet up with your group for a welcome dinner that kicks off your Southwest France trip. It's a good chance to meet everyone before the journey begins.

- Day 2
Arcachon Bay - Biarritz
Head to Arcachon Bay where you'll have fresh oysters and local wine at a traditional cabin. From there, you'll see the Great Dune of Pilat with views across the coastline, then settle into Biarritz for the evening. The waterfront is yours to explore on your own after dinner.

- Day 3
Bayonne
This morning takes you to Bayonne, where you'll walk through the art and history of the town. There's a visit to the Bayonne Ham Museum, which is run by the same family for three generations, and you'll taste their ham. Your afternoon is free to spend at the hotel.

Pau - Lourdes
You'll travel east through the Midi-Pyrénées on roads famous from the Tour de France. Along the way, you stop in Lourdes to see the Sanctuaire Notre-Dame de Lourdes and the Massabielle Grotto before checking into your hotel for the night.

Midi-Pyrénées - Carcassonne
After leaving Lourdes, you'll continue through the Midi-Pyrénées past small medieval bastides. There's a winery stop to taste Blanquette de Limoux sparkling wine, a specialty of the area, then you arrive in Carcassonne. Your evening is free to wander the town.

- Day 6
Carcassonne
You have the day to explore Carcassonne's medieval citadel on your own terms. Walk through the alleys, see the 52 towers, and check out the Château Comtal with its ramparts. This evening, you'll all come together for dinner at a local restaurant.

Carcassonne - Albi
You'll leave Carcassonne and head to Albi, known as the 'red city'. The morning includes a walking tour where you see the magnificent Cathédrale Sainte-Cécile. After lunch on your own, you head to a nearby medieval village in the Albi region for dinner.

- Day 8
Medieval village - Sarlat-la-Canéda
After breakfast, you have some time to walk around the medieval village and see the quiet streets. Then you'll head to Sarlat-la-Canéda, stopping in a few charming French villages along the way to stretch your legs during the drive.

Sarlat-la-Canéda - Beynac-et-Cazenac
Your tour leader takes you on a guided walk through Sarlat-la-Canéda, including the traditional market. Later, you travel to Beynac-et-Cazenac to see its well-preserved medieval château overlooking the Dordogne. You return to Sarlat for the evening on your own.

Lascaux - Les Eyzies - Truffle farm - Sarlat-la-Canéda
You'll visit Lascaux II to see the replica cave with its prehistoric paintings. After stopping in the village of Les Eyzies, you follow the 'Royal Road' to a local truffle farm for a truffle hunting lesson and tasting. The day ends with a farewell dinner in Sarlat.

Your final day takes you to Saint-Émilion, a village that sits above rolling vineyards. You'll taste the region's famous full-bodied reds and raise a final glass with your group. Then it's back to Bordeaux to say goodbye and part ways.
