13 Day France Itinerary, incl. Paris and Bordeaux
The 13-day French adventure winds through 35 cities for around $2,200. The route leads from Paris through Normandy, Loire Valley, and Alsace, showcasing UNESCO sites like Mont-Saint-Michel and Avignon's Papal Palace, while offering comfortable stays at quality hotels including Novotel properties.

- Days 1-2
Normandy & Brittany
Leave Paris early and head to Monet's House in Giverny. Get there before 9:30 AM to beat the tour buses. Take time to explore Rouen's medieval quarter before driving 2 hours to Caen. On day two visit Mont-Saint-Michel but check tide schedules first as they affect access. From there go to Saint-Malo to walk the old city walls and enjoy coastal views. End your day in Dinan with some authentic Breton crêpes.

- Days 3-4
Loire Valley
Stay in Amboise as your base for visiting châteaux. Start with Château de Chenonceau when it opens at 9 AM since it gets busy quickly. Visit Villandry's gardens in late afternoon when the light is best. At Chambord plan for at least 3 hours and rent bikes to see the grounds. Spend your evenings exploring Amboise's medieval center.

- Days 5-6
Dordogne & Bordeaux
Book Lascaux caves tickets ahead as they sell out fast. Visit early then spend time in medieval Sarlat. When visiting Rocamadour take the lift up and walk down to save your knees. In Bordeaux one visitor shared: "The Water Mirror is most magical at sunset when the lighting creates perfect reflections of Place de la Bourse."

- Days 7-8
Southern France
- Days 9-10
Burgundy Region
- Days 11-13
Alsace & Champagne
Visit Colmar's old town early before shops open for the best photos. Stay in Riquewihr past 4 PM when most tourists leave. Finish in Strasbourg with a boat trip through Petite France. One traveler noted: "Taking the canal tour at dusk was magical - the half-timbered houses reflect beautifully in the water."

14 Days in France & Monaco, incl. French Riviera and Paris

- Days 1-3
Monaco & French Riviera
Visit Monte Carlo after 7 PM when traffic lightens to drive the F1 circuit. Start your next day at Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat before the crowds arrive. Check out Nice's Old Town and Cours Saleya market before 1 PM closing time. On day 3 take a boat to Saint-Tropez to avoid traffic and get great port photos.

- Days 4-6
Provence Region
Stay in Aix-en-Provence and walk Cours Mirabeau early before the cafes get busy. Visit Château La Coste at opening time (10 AM) for the best photo light. Take a late afternoon boat tour in Cassis to see the limestone cliffs in golden light. Bring a light jacket for your vintage Citroen drive through Luberon.

- Days 7-9
Medieval Towns & Wine Country
- Days 10-11

What people love about 2-week France tours
- Grand Tour of France
Great way to see a broad cross section of France although it involved a lot of travelling (about 4000 km). Guide and driver worked well together and both provided excellent service. My only concern was that several days involved an early start and a very late finish.
- Best of France
The tour was well organized, great food, great hotels with the best tour guide.
- Highlights of France
Wonderful tour of France! We saw and did SO much in those 13 days! I enjoyed every day, but especially Nice, Lourdes, Bordeaux wine tasting, Mont St. Michel, and Omaha Beach and the US cemetery there. The included meals could’ve been better. At times, only one choice was offered, so I’d choose the vegetarian option on nights where I didn’t like the meat choice! I wish we had more time at some of the stops, but I guess that’s a reason to go back! The hotels were all acceptable, but if you’re looking for more luxury, book Trafalgar! For the price, you can’t beat this tour! I had a wonderful experience and will definitely use Costsaver/Trafalgar again!
