Lille
You'll meet the group in Lille this evening for a welcome dinner that kicks things off. This is where everyone comes together before diving into the battlefield tour, so it's a good chance to meet your fellow travelers and get oriented.

Amiens
Head out to the Somme, where one of WWI's most devastating battles unfolded. You'll visit Newfoundland Memorial Park to see the preserved trenches, then move through Ulster Tower, Pozières Cemetery, and Thiepval Memorial. After that, the group travels to Amiens for the night.

- Day 3
Amiens
This morning you'll explore the Underground City of Naours, a massive cave network where hundreds of ANZAC soldiers carved their names and messages during WWI. The inscriptions here represent the largest concentration of soldier markings on the Western Front. The afternoon is free, so you can wander around Amiens on your own and check out the city at your own pace.

- Day 4
Vimy Ridge - Ypres
Leave Amiens and head to Villers-Bretonneux to visit the Australian National War Memorial and Cemetery. From there, you'll see the Canadian National Vimy Memorial, Canada's largest overseas memorial. Later, travel to Ypres, a town that was completely destroyed during the war and then rebuilt. You'll have dinner there that evening.

- Day 5
Ypres Region
Spend the day exploring the British WWI sites around Ypres. Start at Essex Farm Cemetery to visit John McCrae's Dressing Station where 'In Flanders Fields' was written in 1915. Then visit the German Cemetery at Langemark, Vancouver Corner, and the Hooge Crater Museum, which has WWI artifacts and reconstructed trenches. The day ends at the Menin Gate Memorial where you'll watch the Last Post ceremony, a daily tradition that's been happening for nearly a century.

Fromelles - Lille
Visit Hill 60, a man-made rise that was the site of intense fighting between German and Allied forces. From there, move through the Fromelles area, VC Corner, and Australian Memorial Park. You'll also stop at Pheasant Wood Cemetery, where 250 Australian and British soldiers killed in the Battle of Fromelles are buried. After that, head back to Lille where the tour concludes.
