Scottsdale
You'll arrive in Scottsdale at your own pace and wander through Old Scottsdale, where you'll find retro wooden buildings, rodeo-inspired artwork, and local shops with classic Southwestern character. The afternoon and early evening are yours to explore the downtown area. Later, head to dinner at Zuzu Restaurant back at your resort, where you can have wine and relax after traveling.

Sedona to Grand Canyon
Starting early, you'll travel through red country along the Red Rock Scenic Byway, one of only 20 All-American Roads. After passing through bohemian Sedona with its shops and galleries, you'll drive through Oak Creek Canyon and Coconino National Forest on one of America's top scenic drives. By afternoon you'll reach the Grand Canyon South Rim, where Local Expert Tim will meet you to explain the canyon's five-million-year-old origins, rock formations, and local plants and wildlife. An optional helicopter or fixed-wing flight tour is available if you want that experience.

- Day 3
Grand Canyon to Monument Valley
Early risers can head out for sunrise over the Grand Canyon. Then you'll travel along the scenic South Rim Desert View Drive to Desert View Point, where you'll see Mary Colter's historic Watchtower and views of the Colorado River and Painted Desert. From there, you'll visit the historic Cameron Trading Post before heading to Monument Valley Tribal Park for a private off-road exploration with Navajo Local Experts in all-terrain vehicles. You'll learn about Navajo history, culture, and heritage, then enjoy a traditional Navajo cookout with tacos and fry bread surrounded by buttes and mesas. The rest of the day is relaxation time at your lakefront resort.

Monument Valley
Today is entirely free for you to decide how to spend it. You can relax by the resort pool with Lake Powell views, explore on your own, or choose from optional activities. In the evening, head to Red Heritage Native American Performing Arts Theatre for dinner with wine, where you'll watch powwow dancing, flute playing, and live drum music while trying traditional Navajo cuisine.

Bryce Canyon National Park
You'll journey across wide-open landscapes with colorful sandstone cliffs and high ridges through Bryce Canyon Country along a portion of Scenic Highway 89, which National Geographic calls the number one driver's drive in the world. After arriving at Bryce Canyon National Park, you'll see the distinctive red rock pillars called hoodoos and pink cliffs. You can walk the Rim Trail from Surprise Point to Bryce Point, making stops at major viewpoints and spending time on a leisurely walk at Sunset Point or a more challenging hike down into the canyon itself.

After a leisurely breakfast and relaxed morning, you'll tour Zion National Park on a privately chartered tram with live commentary from a Local Expert. You'll see scenic highlights like Weeping Rock, Hanging Garden, and local wildlife and plants. You can choose between a Travel Director-guided hike to the Emerald Pools to see waterfalls and green pools surrounded by red sandstone, or take a self-guided stroll along the Virgin River Walk while watching for wildlife.

Salt Lake City to Jackson
Before departing, you'll check out the State Capitol building. Then you'll drive through scenic Logan Canyon and over the Wasatch Mountain Range to Bear Lake Summit, stopping for lunch with views of turquoise waters. Heading north across the Oregon Trail, you'll reach historic Jackson, where the Teton peaks constantly frame the landscape. You'll see the town's famous arch made of tangled elk antlers in the central square and browse charming boutique galleries and shops. Your hotel is a short walk from Jackson's Town Square.

You'll wake to striking mountain views of the Grand Tetons rising 13,775 feet from the valley floor. An optional scenic float trip down the Snake River is available if you want it. Then you'll enter Yellowstone, the world's first national park, known for geothermal activity, dramatic landscapes, and abundant wildlife. Keep your eyes open for black bears or wolves. Tonight you'll stay in the National Park Lodges, which lets you experience the park after visitors leave, in its natural state.

Yellowstone National Park
You'll have a relaxed start to the day in Yellowstone. Walk among the rainbow-tinted hot springs and watch geysers erupt. Your Travel Director will lead an informative stroll through the park's history. You'll see the colorful bubbling mud pots and Old Faithful geyser shooting water over 120 feet into the air. In the afternoon, you'll explore the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and its natural wonders. You'll drive through Hayden Valley, famous for wildlife, so watch for wolves, bears, elk, and herds of bison. The rest of the evening is yours to relax.

Yellowstone to Ucross Ranch
You'll travel through Shoshone Canyon and the Absaroka Rocky Mountains to the Wild West town of Cody. At the award-winning Buffalo Bill Centre of the West, you'll learn about America's Western legends through Western art, firearms, and natural history exhibits. Then you'll travel through Bighorn National Forest to the Ranch at Ucross, a traditional Wyoming family ranch. The evening starts with cocktails in the historic Ranch House bar, followed by home-cooked ranch-style dinner. Afterward, you'll head to the fire pit for s'mores and live music with country, folk, and bluegrass.

You can live the American frontier by taking a scenic horseback ride with a Ranch Hand (waiver required), try fishing, or simply relax and soak in your surroundings. Later, you'll travel to Devils Tower, an striking geological feature rising from the Black Hills and considered sacred to the Lakota and other tribes. Then you'll experience Spearfish Canyon, loved by wildlife enthusiasts, where limestone palisades form a creek-carved gorge older than the Grand Canyon.

Tonight, you'll celebrate your travels with dinner and wine at your lodge in Custer State Park, sharing the meal with your Travel Director and new friends.
