Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Monte Carlo

    A private chauffeur picks you up and takes you to your Monte Carlo hotel. After settling in, you'll have dinner by the water at Fontvieille marina. The afternoon includes a scenic drive along the Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit, then you'll visit Grimaldi Palace to see the royal residence.

    Monte Carlo to Nice

    Start your day at the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, where you can walk through gardens and view over 5,000 art objects collected over time. Later, a local expert guides you through Old Nice's winding streets. You'll see the opera house, browse the antique market, and check out St. Reparate Cathedral before lunch.

    A guided tour takes you through Saint-Tropez's old town to see medieval towers and ancient walls. Stop by the bakery that created the famous Tarte Tropézienne back in the 1950s and try a slice. Then head to your 18th-century Château de Fonscolombe accommodation. This evening you'll dine at a Michelin Star restaurant.

After that, choose between sampling organic wines at Château La Coste's contemporary cellar or strolling through olive groves to see modern art installations.

You'll reach Domaine de la Citadelle winery to explore the grounds and enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch with local wine pairings before heading to Avignon.

    Carcassonne

After lunch, a local expert shows you around Carcassonne, uncovering its history from before the Roman period.

    Had a wonderful experience! As a first time Luxury Gold traveler, the trip exceeded my expectations. Great sites, great local guides, great hotels, great food and great companions. Most of all, a competent and knowledgeable travel concierge! Greg is a powerful communicator who provided useful information and also kept us entertained. He played music, shared videos and told stories. He spoke articulately and bantered effortlessly, with a sense of humor and with genuine respect.
