Itinerary
- Day 1
Cusco
After arriving at Cusco airport, you'll get picked up and have the morning free to get used to the altitude. Grab lunch at the main square, then it's time to explore some of Cusco's key historical sites. You'll see the Temple of the Sun, head out to Sacsayhuaman, and then check out Qenqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay. If you're interested, the evening includes an optional Pisco Sour class at a local spot to cap off your first day.

Cusco to Machu Picchu
Your alarm goes off at 4:00 am and a pickup takes you toward Ollantaytambo to catch the tourist train heading to Aguas Calientes. Once you arrive, a bus takes you up to Machu Picchu where you get about 2.5 hours exploring the citadel with a guide. After lunch, you board the return train which has big windows, live music, and traditional dance performances along the way. You'll roll back into your Cusco hotel around 8:30 pm.

Cusco to Airport
Pickup happens around 3:30 am for your trip heading southeast. After driving for about 2 hours, you stop for a buffet breakfast, then continue to the trailhead. From here, you walk for roughly 1.5 hours (horses are available if you want to pay extra) to reach the viewpoint. You'll have a buffet lunch up there before heading back down and getting driven to Cusco airport by around 5:30 pm for your departure.
