Casablanca to Asilah
You'll land at Casablanca airport and head to Asilah, a walled coastal town with colorful street art and a lively art community. Spend your time wandering through the medina, checking out artist studios, trying fresh seafood at a local restaurant, and then making your way up to the ramparts as the sun sets over the Atlantic.

Asilah to Chefchaouen
Travel inland toward Chefchaouen, stopping at the Caves of Hercules near Tangier if you're interested. From there, you'll head through the Rif Mountains to reach the Blue Pearl, where the whole city is painted in shades of blue. Walk through the winding alleyways, see the Old Medina and Outa-el-Hammam square, and visit the Tarik-Ben-Ziad Mosque.

Chefchaouen to Fes
Arrive in Fes for a full day exploring what's considered the world's largest old medina. Start at the Royal Palace, then move through the Jewish Quarter before climbing up to a Borj tower for views across the city. Later, stop at a mosaic house to watch traditional pottery being made, and then spend time in the artisan sections including the tanneries, plus historical landmarks like Idriss II's tomb and Al-Qarawaiyin University.

Fes to Erg Chebbi Desert
Leave Fes heading south through Africa's biggest cedar forest, where Barbary apes sometimes appear. Cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and stop in Midelt for lunch before continuing through the Ziz River Gorge to the towering sand dunes at Erg Chebbi. You'll ride a camel or take a 4x4 to your desert camp, climb up to watch the sunset over the dunes, and finish with dinner that includes traditional music and stargazing.

Erg Chebbi to Dades Gorge
Wake early to see the sun rise over the dunes, then head back on camelback. Drive toward Dades Gorge with stops to see an old desert irrigation system and the Tinghir oasis, where you'll walk through the palmery and the former Jewish quarter. Before reaching Dades Valley, you'll visit the dramatic Todra Gorge for a walk through the canyon.

Travel the Road of 1000 Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, then continue to Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO site with an impressive ksar to explore. Cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n'Tichka pass at nearly 7,500 feet, stopping for tea and photos along the way. By evening, you'll reach Marrakech, a vibrant oasis city full of busy bazaars, hanging lamps, carpets, and spice markets.

You'll learn the history and stories behind the neighborhoods. In the afternoon, see the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia and El Badii Palaces, and Saadian Tombs before heading to the airport.
