Itinerary
- Day 1
Luxor
You'll get picked up from your hotel, train station, or airport and head to your 5-star Nile cruise for check-in. After settling in with a welcome drink and lunch onboard, you'll head out to Karnak Temple, which has those massive towering columns and halls that really show you the scale of ancient Egyptian construction. From there, walk through Luxor Temple on the East Bank to see the impressive pylons and statues up close. You'll return to the cruise for dinner and get comfortable in your cabin for the first night.

- Day 2
Luxor to Edfu
Starting after breakfast, you'll spend the morning in the Valley of the Kings where pharaohs like Tutankhamun were buried, checking out some of the best-preserved tombs around. Next you'll see the Temple of Hatshepsut, a mortuary temple that really stands out architecturally. Before heading back to the ship, grab a photo at the Colossi of Memnon. You'll have lunch onboard as the cruise sets sail toward Edfu, then dinner and another night on the water.

Edfu to Kom Ombo
After breakfast, you'll ride a horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Egypt. You'll return to the cruise for lunch as the ship moves toward Kom Ombo. In the afternoon, you'll walk through Kom Ombo Temple, which is unusual because it's dedicated to both Sobek the crocodile god and Horus the falcon god. The temple sits right on the Nile and has some fascinating reliefs worth spending time on. You'll get back to the ship for dinner and your night onboard.

- Day 4
Kom Ombo to Aswan via Abu Simbel
You'll start early after breakfast and head out on a 3.5 hour road trip to Abu Simbel. Once there, you'll explore the Abu Simbel Temples carved into the mountainside by Ramses II, seeing both the Great Temple and the Temple of Nefertari. The drive back to Aswan takes another 3.5 hours, and you'll have lunch and dinner back onboard the cruise. Before settling in for your last night in Aswan, there's a folkloric performance to watch on the ship.

- Day 5
Aswan
After breakfast you'll check out from the cruise and take a boat to Philae Island to see Philae Temple, which sits surrounded by water and was dedicated to the goddess Isis. From there, you'll visit the Aswan High Dam, one of the world's largest, which controls the Nile's flow and generates hydroelectric power. In the afternoon, you'll get transferred to Aswan Airport, the train station, or your hotel for your departure.
