Tour designed to accommodate those who signed up for optional experiences (profit driven). When our morning tour of Madrid finished, those not taking optional tour had to take a taxi back to the hotel. Would have nice to know in advance, as our bags were on the bus. We were told taxi fee would be reimbursed, reminded tour director following day, but never received.Show more

As individuals traveling on your own in Spain it would be difficult to have the depth of experiences without a tour. Trafalgar guides and driver were professional and expertise excellent. A good mix of free time, hotel locations often close to good shopping. I would give her a 10+. Overall: The tour was excellent Itinerary: I would have preferred perhaps one additional day in Portugal (driving north and, after fatima - perhaps Oporto?). Transportation: We had an air conditioning problem which was taken care of in the shortest possible delay. Accommodation: One hotel had smaller rooms - location?, but the rest of them were excellent.
