Itinerary
- Day 1
Johannesburg to Graskop
Your guide and driver pick you up at your Johannesburg hotel, and you'll drive for about 5 hours through South Africa's rugged terrain toward Graskop. The route takes you through Belfast, the country's highest town at 1,980m elevation, with a couple stops to stretch and grab refreshments. Before you check in, there's a short walk at Mac Mac Falls to get your legs moving after the long drive.

Graskop
Today covers the Panorama Route with a 250km scenic drive through nature. You'll stop at God's Window for hilltop views, then head to Bourke's Luck Potholes and Blyde River Canyon, which is the world's third largest canyon. After lunch back at your accommodation, you'll tackle a 9km trail loop hike that covers Leopard, Guineafowl, and Tufa trails, with an optional swim at the Tufa waterfall if you have the energy. Plan on 4 to 6 hours of hiking.

Graskop to Kruger National Park
After breakfast, you'll drive to the south eastern edge of Kruger National Park for a two-night stay. Your first game drive starts right away, and you'll be searching for wildlife throughout the park. This is one of Africa's most popular national parks, so you'll have good chances of spotting animals.

Kruger National Park
This day is yours to design. Your guide will help you book optional activities from whatever choices are available in the park, so you can pick what interests you most. Whether you want more game drives, walking safaris, or other experiences, it's up to you.

Kruger National Park
You'll drive into Kruger National Park itself for an extensive game drive starting at the park gate. The park is famous for its wildlife, and you'll see a great variety of animals as you drive through. The game drive continues until you reach your chalets for check-in.

- Day 6
Kruger National Park to Eswatini
After breakfast, you'll leave Kruger and head to the town of Malalane, where you can stock up on supplies. Then you'll cross into Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) and settle into rustic accommodation with views of the Ngwenya mountains. You'll have access to the wild flora of Malolotja Nature Reserve right there.

Eswatini
Today is a full day hike in Malolotja Nature Reserve covering 15km on an undulating trail with some steep sections that need attention. Bring packed lunch and snacks. You'll spot over 280 bird species including the rare Bald Ibis, antelopes, waterfalls, and rock formations throughout the hike.

Eswatini to St Lucia, South Africa
You'll head back to South Africa and stop at a local Swazi Market where you can buy locally-made curios directly from local artisans. Then you'll get to the coastal town bordered by the Indian Ocean and Lake St Lucia, known for hippopotamuses. The rest of the day is yours to explore on your own.

St Lucia
Start early with a two-hour boat cruise along Lake St Lucia to see the coastal ecosystems. After that, you'll drive through the park spotting rhinos, zebras, giraffes, and buffaloes on the way to Cape Vidal. At this ocean-edge spot, you can walk along the beach or swim in shallow waters before heading back to your accommodation.

Dundee
You'll travel to Dundee, a historic town full of Anglo-Zulu war history. The day follows the Battle of Isandlwana and includes a detailed tour at Rorke's Drift Museum with a site guide. A 10km walk connects these historic sites throughout the day.

Royal Natal National Park, Drakensburg
Travel to the Drakensberg mountains and enter Royal Natal National Park, where you'll see the imposing natural Amphitheatre. This mountain range forms the country's highest peak and the border between KwaZulu-Natal and Lesotho. Your guide will lead you through various walk options available in the park.

Royal Natal National Park
You'll tackle a challenging 6 to 8 hour hike covering 16km following the Thukela river through Royal Natal National Park. You'll pass Protea flowers, South Africa's national flower, and climb to the Thukela waterfall viewpoint. You should be back at your accommodation just before sunset.

- Day 13
Royal Natal National Park to Witsieshoek
Pack snacks and water for a scenic and relaxed walk to Witsieshoek mountain lodge, where you'll stay for the next two nights. This community-based lodge sits at the end of a pleasant walking transition through the Drakensburg landscape.

Witsieshoek
You'll hike up Sentinel Peak to Tugela Falls, the world's second tallest waterfall. The trail includes two chain ladders, one 30m and one 20m, that you'll climb vertically for some added challenge and excitement. The majestic views make the effort worthwhile. You'll have lunch by the waterfall before heading back to the lodge.

Witsieshoek to Johannesburg
Your tour wraps up after experiencing 9 walking days and wildlife safari adventures. You'll have a late breakfast, pack up, and drive back to Johannesburg where the tour ends. There's time for late lunch before your departure.
