- Day 1
Arrival in Entebbe
You'll touch down at Entebbe Airport where your guide meets you and walks through what's coming over the next 9 days. This is your entry point to Uganda, so take time to settle in and get oriented.

Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park
It's a drive northwest toward Murchison Falls, but you'll break things up at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola. A ranger takes you on a guided walk to see rhinos in person, marking your first encounter with the Big Five.

Landmarks/POIs Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Murchison Falls National Park - Day 3
Murchison Falls National Park
Early morning means heading out on a game drive to catch giraffes, lions, elephants, and Uganda Kobs while the light is still low and golden. The Albert delta views are solid from here. After lunch you'll take a boat trip up the Victoria Nile toward Murchison Falls, watching for hippos, crocodiles, herons, and if you're fortunate, a rare shoebill stork.

Landmarks/POIs Murchison Falls Victoria Nile Lake Albert - Day 4
Murchison Falls to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following breakfast, you're in for a long drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda's biggest conservation area in terms of variety. As you move through the park toward your lodge by evening, you'll spot buffalo, lions, waterbuck, leopards, Uganda Kobs, and warthogs along the way.

Landmarks/POIs Queen Elizabeth National Park Rwenzori Mountain - Day 5
Chimpanzee Tracking & Kazinga Channel
Morning transfer takes you to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee tracking, where you'll see them swinging, playing, and living in their own world. Later in the day you'll cruise the Kazinga Channel, a 32-kilometer waterway between two lakes. This stretch holds one of the world's heaviest hippo populations, plus Nile crocodiles and plenty more wildlife.

Kibale to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast you head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. If you want, join an early game drive to catch sunrise photos. Come evening, a community walk with the Batwa people (the forest's original inhabitants) gives you a different perspective on this landscape they know so well.

Landmarks/POIs Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - Day 7
Bwindi Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
This is the trip's centerpiece. After breakfast you get a ranger briefing, then trek through Bwindi's ancient forest looking for mountain gorillas. The hike usually takes a couple hours, and you'll have a full hour watching these animals up close in their habitat. Pack lunch, proper hiking shoes, a raincoat, and your camera. Once you're done, you'll head to Lake Bunyonyi.

Landmarks/POIs Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Lake Bunyonyi - Day 8
Lake Bunyonyi
Lake Bunyonyi wraps around you with lush, green terraced hillsides everywhere. Over 200 bird species make their home here, so bring binoculars if you're into that. The water's safe for swimming since there are no crocodiles, hippos, or bilharzia concerns, so you can actually get in and cool off.

Landmarks/POIs Lake Bunyonyi Nyombi Swamp - Day 9
Lake Bunyonyi to Entebbe
After breakfast and checking out, you drive back toward Entebbe via the Mbarara-Masaka road. Stop at the Uganda Equator mark for lunch, then continue on, wrapping up your 9-day journey where you started.
