Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Soti Khola
Start with a drive from Kathmandu heading through Dhading Beshi and Arughat where the roads get progressively rougher. From there, you'll trek into woodland along the Budhi Gandaki River with the water running far below you. The path takes you through some nice river valley scenery before reaching Machha Khola guesthouse for the night.

Landmarks Budhi Gandaki River - Day 2
Machha Khola to Jagat Village
Cross the Machha Khola River in the morning and pass through Khorlabesi on your way to Tatopani, which has therapeutic hot springs if you want to soak. The trek continues along the Budhi Gandaki Valley through forested sections where you'll notice the vegetation changing as you go higher. Later in the day, you'll arrive at Jagat Village to settle in for the night.

Landmarks Tatopani Khorlabesi - Day 3
Jagat Village to Deng Village
Trek through the valley toward Sirdibas where you get great views of Shringi Himal. You'll cross a suspension bridge, then face a steep climb up to Philim with waterfalls cascading nearby. After that, the route takes you through Ekle Bhatti and Pewa Village as you work your way through the valley to Deng Village where you'll stay.

Landmarks Shringi Himal Sirdibas Philim - Day 4
Deng Village to Namrung
Start with a steep climb followed by a descent down to the Budi Gandaki River. Trek through the valley passing small settlements along the way. As you get closer to Namrung, you'll come across Mani stones carved with Tibetan mantras, which marks entry into Tibetan Buddhist areas. There's an optional 2 hour detour to Prok village if you're interested, then finish at Namrung guesthouse.

Landmarks Prok Village Namrung - Day 5
Namrung to Samagaun
Walk through Lho Village positioned between Mani stone walls in a quieter area without much modern development. From here you can see Ngadi Chuli (Peak 29) with its snow-covered peak. Take a short detour up to Pungen Glacier for closer views of Mt. Manaslu. By evening, you'll reach Samagaun guesthouse.

Samagaun to Dharamsala
Cross several rivers to get to Larkya Bazaar, which functions as a trading post where merchants from Tibet do business. From there, climb a steep trail up to Dharamsala where you'll spend the night at a guesthouse.

Landmarks Larkya Bazaar Dharamsala - Day 7
Dharamsala to Bhimthang via Larkya La Pass
This is the challenging day crossing Larkya La Pass at 5106m/17,121 ft. You'll climb to Cho Chanda first, then tackle the steep snow-covered pass with views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Gyaji Kung, Kang Koru and Annapurna II all around you. The descent is steep across moraines down to Bhimthang Village guesthouse.

Landmarks Larkya La Pass Cho Chanda Himlung Himal Cheo Himal Gyaji Kung Kang Koru Annapurna II Bhimthang Village - Day 8
Bhimthang to Dharapani
Descend from the high pasture areas and cross the Dudh Khola using a suspension bridge. Then trek for 6 to 7 hours through rhododendron forests (which flower in spring) and oak forests. This brings you to Dharapani in the Annapurna region, known as a gateway to the Annapurna circuit trek. Stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Dharapani to Kathmandu
The final day wraps up your trek. Cross the river and take a local jeep to Besisahar, then catch a bus back to Kathmandu where you'll get dropped at your hotel.
