- TGTimothy· May 6th, 2025For 7 of 10 days of this tour, the tour was conducted 90-95%in Spanish. It was supposed to be bilingual. It was not and in spite of requests for the commentary to be also in English , it was not. Do not pick this tour if you are an English speaker.Show moreEuropamundo commented on this reviewDear Timothy, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. - DMDavid· October 11th, 2024The Tour in essence was excellent and we visited some wonderful places of historic interest. Our first guide was superb, full of energy and very caring. He managed to develop a real enthusiastic spirit within what was a diverse group. There was a lot of travel involved but that was clrear beforehand. We really enjoyed all that was on offer. There were one or two issues which relegated my overall opinion to okay but I would rather take them up directly with Tourradar rather than highlight them here and spoil for others what is essentially a splendid tour. Please go for it!!!Show moreEuropamundo commented on this reviewDear David, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent tour in Turkey. - Filiz· September 5th, 2023Overall the sights and the guides were excellent however t I will not be using this tour company again. On three occasions there was a change of guests embarking and disembarking from the tour as well as change of tour guides creating uncertainty, confusion. In my case I had three different guides and I was also left alone with a guide visiting sites in a taxi. I cancelled two events that were paid for purely because I was unsettled by the whole process. If I wanted to sightsee just with a guide I would not have booked an organized tour. Also there was no headphones or voxboxes on the bus so that you can block out the non English information so you had to listen to everything being said by the tour guides twice once in English and again in Spanish.Show moreEuropamundo commented on this reviewWe value your opinion and have sent it to the appropriate department for quality improvement purposes. - Teresa· April 8th, 2023It was a vacation of a lifetime. Except for the wintery weather in Istanbul the rest of the itinerary was nice and comfortable. I places we have visited is what i have expected, we even made it to the Hot Air ballon ride, weather was perfect. Our Tour Director Serhat and M. Kadir are both very knowledgable, they were able to answer all our questions. We learned a lot about the history of Turkey. Hotel were good except for the 3 locations. We enjoyed the food with fresh fruits and vegetables. I will definitely recommend this tour to my friends.Show moreEuropamundo commented on this reviewHi Teresa. - GAGail Ross· March 31st, 2023There were two different groups in the tour bus - English-speaking tourists and the Spanish-speaking group. Unfortunately, the Spanish speaking tour guide spoke most of the time (90%) and our English speaking tour guide, Serhat, did not have the equal opportunity to talk and to share with us information during the bus ride to different locations. Serhat is very knowledgeable and articulate, an excellent tour guide. Most of the hotels were nice.Show moreEuropamundo commented on this reviewWe are delighted to hear about your positive experience with our team. - Delia· March 31st, 2023We had a difficult time looking for the person who was supposed to meet us at the airport in Istanbul. He had no visible signs or narkers that we could see; it was very cold and rainy too which contributed to our misery.Show moreEuropamundo commented on this reviewHi. - Elizabeth· November 12th, 2022The tour guide has a lot to do with the satisfaction of such a trip. With that being said, the trip started out well in Istanbul where the guide was well spoken, personable and very knowledgeable. As of day 4 till day 8 we had a guide by the name of Serdar. We found this individual to be very unprofessional. His daily attire was shabby, he was very disorganized and didn't let us know what we were doing during the day and at what time. His knowledge about the historical sites was limited and in some cases, what he stated was inaccurate. He was impatient and rude with the customers and gave safety no priority or consideration. I say this because the passengers including little children were allowed to roam the bus whilst it was travelling on the road. At the start of the night trip in Antalya, the whole group was walking on one side of the busy street whilst he was behind us. At one point he crossed the road (not at the crossing) without even telling the group and was upset that we did not just follow him. At this point I actually told him how I felt and stated that his behavior was unacceptable. Also, for lunch on all days he stopped at only gas stations where we had no choice but to eat the food at the restaurant by the side of the station. The thermal springs in Dalyan was a filthy spot which reeked of suage and not one person from the group used the baths except for the tour guide Serdar who felt it was also ok to take care of his personal grooming like cutting his nails after his bath at the springs. After day 8 it was a pleasure to travel with the well experienced tour guide "Khadir". He was a perfect gentleman, very professional, extremely organized, patient and knowledgeable. This one individual saved the trip for us. We definitely suggest that you'll review the quality of the tour guides with your various business tie ups. Last but not least, we would like to suggest that the final drop off after the tour ends is made at a more central location were the passengers can collect their baggage and find a taxi safely if required.Show moreEuropamundo commented on this reviewGreetings From Europamundo Vacations! - CAChristina· December 23rd, 2021Overall- happy we did it and would recommend. We chose this tour so we could see many things without having to do any planning. We went in December and during covid, so definitely slow season. Likes- This tour you see diverse landscapes in a comfortable bus. Plenty of breaks while driving. The guides take very good care of you and do a good explanation of sites. This is a very good way to see many things in Turkey in a short time. Dislike- hotel is Kusadasi is terrible and you stay there twice. Other hotels are fine. Internet is mostly bad. The buffets get repetitive. Since they pack in so much and so many kilometers, there are places you want more time in but cannot. Also, the tour constantly has people adding and leaving depending on their itinerary, so you don’t get to connect strongly with people. Suggestions - mini hikes as driving breaks. We are in these beautiful landscapes but only have time to take a photo, not explore. More details: Guides- the two guides we had (one for the first 8 days, a different one for the rest) were really great and made everything interesting and special, even though they have seen it all many times. If you had a special need (trying to find a specific thing to buy, trying to get good internet, figuring out how to get to your hotel after the tour) they will help and try to solve the problem. Generally you get to the hotels at night around 6 or 7pm. Beginning was miscommunication/limited communication on the start time. Itinerary says 9am but guide found is eating at the dining room at 8:30 saying it’s time to start. We were ready so it was fine. The tour company sends you a link to their audio guide, but there was none available for this tour. The itinerary times given by the company’s itinerary sheet are completely wrong. For example the itinerary says you get four hours in Budrum, but you actually get two. Often the itinerary start times are not what guide say. So do whatever the guide says. First two days are half day guided days and you have to find your own way back to hotel. Metro/bus, taxi or walking. Day 4. Early start but it’s worth it to see Ephesus and the other sites. Cool place. Hotel at Kusadasi was the Marina Hotel and woof…bathrooms are old and literally rusting away, but whatever for one night. Can’t drink the water, it’s salty. Pretty view. In the summer they have an awesome pool. Internet is worthless. Day 5. You leave at around 8:00 but are brought to a leather coat store. I would have rather had this be optional. The runway show was fine and the sellers do not pressure you to buy…but if you have no interest you shouldn’t have to go and wake up early. Then we drive to Bodrum, given two hours there, which is just enough to fly through the castle if you want. The hotel tonight is nice, takes covid very seriously, terrible internet, and very attentive restaurant attendants. Day 6. 8am start and headed for the boat ride. The ride was nice, you can sit inside or out. Charges for coffee or tea on the boat. We had a nice day. We did stop at he mud baths, which would be fun to do in anytime but the winter. Then 4 hours (plus lunch break) to Antalya. In Antalya, you get to visit three spots before heading in for the night. Hotel dinner is not a buffet but some good choices. Great internet here! Day 7. 8am start. You visit a Roman theater today, a Greek temple by the sea and an old house. About 5 hours of driving today but very very scenic. Hotel is fine, nonexistent internet. Day 8, 8:30 start. Got to see a lot of cool rocks and city/homes carved in rocks. Also stop at a stone shop/jewelry shop, which is not as weird as the leather shop. If you are offered to go to the carpet shop, you should because they really demonstrate a lot. This day was good. Hotel was fine. Ok internet, at least we could connect to it. Day 9, 10:20 start because have to wait for those who want to do the sunrise hot air balloon ride. I think it was 200 euros per person. They had an early start to see the sunrise! I heard it was a great, but cold experience. We did a couple of fun things today, with an hour of driving in between each. Hotel is fine, dingy but good internet Day 10, we did an early start so we could get to Pamukkale early, as it’s winter and the days are shorter than summer. We had a snow storm. Our driver did an excellent job, but as a Minnesotan who would not drive in this weather, I did feel it was scary. Now I was happy he drove slow as other buses were going fast. We left at 7:30 and arrived at 4:30. This is normally a 5 hour drive with stops, say 7 hours…. But we did make it to Pamukkale and it was fun. The ruins are cooler than the spring. Hotel is ok here but full of people. There is a pool, sauna, Turkish bath, and thermal pool. I did not go in any, as I didn’t want covid exposure as many people here are travelers and not wearing masks. No water is provided by this hotel. Dinner is cold. Day 11. This is a kind of wasted day, as the tour goes back to Ephesus and since we already went there, we were shipped back to the hotel in Kusadasi (the really really bad and dilapidated one) for the afternoon. Our room was nicer this time, but super cold even with the heater and we literally heard something in the wall fall apart. Now you can walk around the town and do whatever. Funny enough this hotel has clear signs saying don’t drink the water, but only give you a small water cup, so buy your own. Hotel sells them too. Day 12. We make our way back to Istanbul today with a few stops. You are brought back to the original hotel.Show moreEuropamundo commented on this reviewHello!
