Itinerary
- Day 1
Chamonix
You'll arrive at your hotel in Chamonix, positioned at the base of Mont Blanc. Spend the evening walking around town to get oriented, grab dinner somewhere local, and settle into your room. It's a relaxed first night to adjust and prepare for the hiking ahead.
Landmarks/POIs Mont Blanc  - Day 2
Chamonix
Start early and take the cable car up to Aiguille du Midi at 3,842m/12,605ft for 360-degree views across the French, Swiss, and Italian Alps. You'll descend along well-marked paths to Mer de Glace glacier, where there's an option to visit the ice cave if you're interested. The cog-train brings you back down to Chamonix by late afternoon.

Chamonix
Hike across Les Aiguilles Rouges with views of Mer de Glace, the North Face of the Grandes Jorasses, Aiguille Verte, and Mont Blanc itself. You'll reach Lac Blanc Hut in the afternoon, where the panoramic views of surrounding mountains and alpine lakes are really something. It's a longer day but the scenery makes it worthwhile.

Chamonix
This morning you'll start at Bellevue and walk along a scenic balcony trail through woodland with mountain views on the side. From there, continue to Refuge Miage in the glacier valley, then descend into the traditional mountain village of Contamines-Monjoie. A local bus takes you back to Chamonix by evening.

Chamonix to Courmayeur
You'll get picked up early for a private car transfer from Chamonix across the border into Courmayeur, Italy. Once there, walk through Val Ferret valley to Rifugio Alpino and Rifugio Bertone, where you'll see panoramic views of Mont Blanc's south face and the Grandes Jorasses. The walk continues through alpine woodland before finishing in Courmayeur.

Courmayeur
Take the cable car from Courmayeur up to Col Checrouit pass to begin your trek. You'll walk through quiet alpine landscape to the rustic Rifugio Elisabetta, then keep going to Lac Combal, which sits in a dramatic setting surrounded by mountains and glaciers. It's a nice contrast to the busier valleys below.

Courmayeur
In Val Ferret, trek to Rifugio Elena at 2,061m/6,762ft, which sits at the foot of Pré-de-Bard glacier. From there, continue up to Grand Col Ferret at 2,537m/8,323ft, the alpine pass marking the border between Italy and Switzerland. It's a fitting end to your Mont Blanc loop, with views back over where you've been.
