Asked on May 29th, 2025What is the Average Physical ability needed for this tour? We are looking for mountain lakes, meadows small villages to hike thru. Will this tour go across bridges and pass waterfalls? We have hiked the Dolomites twice. We prefer not to hike the upper mountain. Is the accommodations in one or two towns?

The trip certainly goes through all of the types of scenery that you mentioned! It is a self-guided tour, so you can do the hikes that you would like, and stop at any small villages that you come across.

September would be a little more quiet, but because the season is so short in the high alps, any time that it's open is typically busy. A trip that may be of interest and a little lower in physical demand, could be the Classic Swiss Alps walk.

This route is not necessarily for beginners and is only recommended for well experienced hikers who enjoy reading and following maps and traveling at their own pace. The activity level for this itinerary is 4 out of 7 - Rated as Moderate/Challenging. This self-guided tour has 6 Days of Walking & Trekking ranging from 7 km to 17 km per day. Lunches are not included, but there are many restaurants within two blocks, plus a supermarket 100 feet away. We suggest packing a lunch and snacks for your walks.

It says those dates are no longer available. Any chance they will open up? If not, do you have similar tours on those dates you could recommend?
