- SFsylvia· March 23rd, 2025My wife and I enjoyed our 14 day Tour of Morocco in March 2025. First and foremost our driver Khalifa was excellent. He was punctual, very friendly and a very good driver in all terrains, traffic and weather conditions. He really made the trip for us. We will recommend him to others who may be interested. The agenda was perhaps a little too jammed packed with long days in the car. We were fortunate that it was just my wife, Khalifa and myself in the car. It was a Toyota Fortuna 4x4, similar to a Lexus RX350 for North American readers. Very comfortable, but would not work for 2 couples plus driver, plus luggage. BTW a regular passenger car would not have been able to traverse the terrain that we enjoyed. Lots of fun going through the sand, water, desert, and rugged road conditions. If you are renting cars, you will not see much of the beautiful desert and wilderness. In thinking about the trip we saw so many things along the way, and it would be hard to take something out. I think a couple more times we had wished that we had an extra night in some of the over night stops. So the same route but add two days. At some of the towns, like Fez, and Marrakech, guides were arranged for us, and they did a very good job walking us around and showing us some cool things that we would have not found on our own. One concern we had was the stop at Nomade Palace Luxury Camp at the Sahara Desert near Merzouga. We arrived a little late after a very long day in the car, which caused a rush to mount camels and get to the dunes to watch the sunsetm and then on to the camp. The camp itself was far from luxury at least in terms of standards set on other tours taken around the world. Dinner was not on par either, and the entertainment really needed some help. As opposed to the terrific evening at Mahjoub Camp near Mhamid. The food was great, and singing and musicians around the campfire were really good. Another small point. If your journey takes you along this similar path, be sure to make arrangement for an extra camel ride in Merzouga (ask your driver). When we arrived at the Chigaga Camp two days later, we were informed that we missed this step, despite the agenda clearly stating that this camel ride was to be included. We were able to clear up the misunderstanding with the help of our driver Khalifa talking to his boss. Again very helpful people. Hopefully the tour company will update the agenda material. BTW we highly recommend wrapping your head and wearing sunglasses/eye protection, as the wind sure can blow the sand. you will need protection. Best hotel along the way was Moulin de Taroudant, pool side room, cold beer and excellent food. Overall, a good safe trip.Show more Morocco tours commented on this reviewDear Sylvia, Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review of your 14-day Morocco tour in March 2025. Steven· November 7th, 2024We were a group of 4 in our 60s. This tour of Morocco kept surprising and delighting us with a heady mix of sights, sounds, smells and other attractions. All accommodation was of a pleasing standard, with the various Riads being particularly interesting. Even the desert camp had tents with their own shower and toilet. Our driver and guide, Anwar, was fantastic. He was polite, punctual, full of interesting facts and he handled the at times wild Moroccan traffic (the Medina in Marrakech was astounding!!) with aplomb. Our only criticism was that the Toyota Prado was not big enough for 3 adults in the rear seat. There was zero padding in the middle of the seat, and the 3 occupants were scrunched in tight. Somedays are long inside the car, and this space downside leads me to only award 4 stars. In fact, I would opt for a tour with a bigger car, even if the group was 6 or 8. If two couples unknown to each other had to endure the close proximity necessary in the rear seat of the Prado, it would be very awkward. A shame, because in all other ways this tour is wonderful and gives you an insight into the awesome country of Morocco.Show more Steven· November 7th, 2024We were a group of 4 in our 60s. What our customers ask about this tour
The content in our FAQ section is subject to change.- MMarilyn Asked on September 23rd, 2025What is the estimate for extra cost (food, entrance fees etc) par person per day on this tour. Can credit cards be used for payments? Are ATM avalaible in bigger towns. Morocco toursOperator•Written September 2025 Morocco toursOperator•Written September 2025- On average, you can expect around 15–25 USD per person per day, covering meals not included in the package, entrance fees to monuments, and personal expenses. Credit cards are accepted in many restaurants, hotels, and shops, especially in larger cities. ATMs are widely available in all bigger towns and cities along the route, so withdrawing cash is not a problem. We recommend carrying some cash in Moroccan Dirhams for small local shops, tips, or places where cards may not be accepted.
