Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Chame
Head out early from Kathmandu and travel by jeep toward Chame through Besisahar, covering about 3 to 4 hours of driving. You'll pass through terraced farmland and small villages with views of snow-capped peaks like Annapurna and Manaslu rising in the distance. The landscape shifts as you move into higher terrain, and this road section gets you positioned for trekking to start soon after.

- Day 2
Chame to Lower Pisang
Start trekking along the Marsyangdi River, stopping at Bratang and then Chemyau Kharka where you'll see a memorial to Japanese climber Akira Ochiai. From there, walk through forested areas and pass Dhukur Pokhari before heading to Upper Pisang for acclimatization. Later, return to Lower Pisang where you'll stay the night and recover a bit before continuing higher.

- Day 3
Lower Pisang to Manang
Trek to Braga, which has a distinct Tibetan character with traditional stacked houses and old architecture. The area offers views of Mt. Chulu and Gangapurna. You'll then visit Manang's Gompa, the region's largest Buddhist temple, and spend time in Manang itself, an important acclimatization stop before moving to higher elevations. This is a good day to take things slower and let your body adjust.

- Day 4
Manang to Thorong Phedi or High Camp
Trek for around 4 hours to Ledar, then continue on to Thorong Phedi at the base of Thorong Himal. Depending on weather and how you're feeling, you might stay at Thorong Phedi or push to High Camp, which gives you a better position for tackling Thorong La Pass the following day. The route starts getting more exposed as you climb toward the pass.

- Day 5
High Camp to Muktinath via Thorong La Pass
This is the day you'll work hardest, trekking 4 to 5 hours to reach Thorong La Pass, one of the world's highest passes. The views from the top show multiple peaks over 6000m and the Kali Gandaki Valley sprawling below. After crossing, you'll descend toward Muktinath with Mt. Dhaulagiri visible in the distance, and it's physically demanding but the payoff is significant.

Muktinath to Pokhara
Spend time at the sacred Muktinath Temple, which holds importance for both Buddhist and Hindu pilgrims, and walk through Jwala Mai Sanctuary. Later, drive from Jomson back down to Pokhara where your trek officially wraps up. This is a good day to rest and reflect on what you've completed since the intense pass crossing the day before.
