- JCJesus· December 1st, 2023Coming to Bhutan was a long time goal. I’m glad I did. I thought I was joining a small group but it turns out it was just me with Pemba as guide and Bhaia as driver. Both men very welcoming and friendly. Pemba especially went above and beyond to make it interesting and a learning experience. As a seasoned traveler I truly understand and appreciate an engaged guide. Nature is breathtaking and the monuments quite unique. Food in general is not a reason to come, it was repetitive and lacked imagination. I believe the location of the last hotel in Paro should have been closer to town, but staff in every place I stayed could not have been nicer. On the tour, for breakfast - is it possible to ask to have a takeaway box and pack breakfast to go myself at the hotels instead of eating in the hotel restuarant / cafe? Usually this is ok fine but I would like to have this confirmed. Can you also list the name of the hotels / accommodation please?

Normally, we arrange breakfast at the hotel where you're staying, and once everyone has finished, we begin the tour. Pony will take you to half of the trail and need to hike from there and same applies while returning. I think you will not have a problem for you if you can walk around 2 hours for uphill in slow pace.

For other part of the tour you do not need much physical. Only it is for hike to Tiger Nest. If you can walk around 2-3 hours then, I think it will be any problem for other part of the tour.
