Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Yerevan

    You'll arrive in Yerevan and head to your hotel to get settled. This is your chance to rest up after travel and get oriented to the city.

  2. Day 2

    Yerevan City Tour

    Start exploring Yerevan's main areas, beginning with Republic Square and walking along Mashtots Avenue. From there, you'll check out the Matenadaran manuscript museum, then move on to the Cafesjian modern arts center. Later in the day, visit the Megeryan Carpet Factory and finish with the Armenian Genocide Museum to learn about the region's important history.

  3. Day 3

    Garni and Geghard Monastery

    Head out for a walk through a beautiful canyon to reach the Garni Pagan Temple. After that, continue to Geghard Monastery. On your way back to Yerevan, stop at a local house where you'll help make traditional Armenian bread and then enjoy Armenian barbecue for lunch.

  4. Day 4

    Ejmiatsin and Zvartnots

    Travel to the UNESCO sites of Ejmiatsin Cathedral and Zvartnots Temple. Break for lunch in Ejmiatsin, then participate in an Armenian wine tasting. If you're interested, there's an optional evening visit to the Ararat Brandy Factory back in Yerevan, but it's your call whether to add that.

  5. Day 5

    Lake Sevan and Dilijan

    Drive to Lake Sevan and tour Sevanavank Monastery along with the ancient church ruins around it. After that, head to Dilijan, which locals call Armenian Switzerland. You'll have time to explore this resort town nestled in the forest and take in the mountain scenery.

  6. Day 6

    Sanahin and Haghpat Monasteries to Tbilisi

    Visit the UNESCO sites Sanahin and Haghpat monasteries, which are really fine examples of medieval Armenian architecture. Later, drive up to Bagratashen at the Armenian-Georgian border where you'll meet your Georgian team for the transfer into Tbilisi.

    Mtskheta and High Caucasus Mountains

    Explore Tbilisi, Georgia's ancient capital, starting with the UNESCO sites Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Stop at the Ananuri complex on the way, then head into the high Caucasus mountains. You'll reach Cross Pass at 2,395m/7,858ft, and then take a 4x4 drive up to Mount Gergeti to visit Holy Trinity Church with views over the Kazbegi glacier.

    Chateau Mukhrani, Gori, and Uplistsikhe

    Start with a wine tasting and light snacks at Royal Winery of Chateau Mukhrani. Later, drive to Gori to explore Stalin's house-museum, then visit Uplistsikhe, an ancient cave complex dating back to the 1st millennium BC.

    Tbilisi City Tour

    Take the cable car up to Narikala Fortress and then walk through Tbilisi's historic old town. Wander through Fig Ravine with its waterfall, check out the Sulfur baths area, stroll Shardeni Street and Meidan Square. Visit the National Museum of Georgia and finish by crossing the modern Bridge of Peace.

    • For any tour departing before December 31st, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after December 31st, 2025, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Geographic Travel Club. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
