Itinerary
- Day 1
Departure to Lima
Your Peru adventure starts today. Check in your luggage, grab your boarding pass, and head to the gate for your flight to Lima.


- Day 2
Lima
You'll land in Lima and transfer to your hotel to clean up. This morning brings an introduction to Peru, then you'll walk through the historic center around Plaza de Armas with your guide. The San Francisco Monastery is next, where you can see the architecture and religious art.

Lima to Paracas
Head south from Lima along the Panamericana coastline to Reserva Nacional de Paracas. By afternoon you're exploring the reserve with views across the peninsula's rugged cliffs and rock formations.

Paracas to Nazca
Early boat tour to Islas Ballestas takes you to see seabirds, seals, and possibly penguins. After that, stop at a winery to learn how they make pisco the traditional way. Then you'll climb sand dunes at the desert oasis of Huacachina, and later drive to Nazca for the night.

- Day 5
Nazca to Camana
Visit Chauchilla, the old cemetery where Nazca artifacts from up to 1000 years ago are kept. You'll drive south along the coast with a short beach stop and grab fresh fish for lunch. By evening you reach the coastal town of Camana.

Camana to Arequipa
Drive to Arequipa, the White City sitting at the foot of three volcanoes. Check out the historic center and walk through San Camilo market to try local fruits and specialties. Later you'll learn Peruvian cooking secrets in a class and eat what you prepare.

Arequipa
Morning visit to Santa Catalina Monastery with your guide. The afternoon is yours to explore the city on foot, wander colonial courtyards, look for handicrafts and local goods around the plaza, or check out alpaca wool factories.

Arequipa to Colca Valley
You'll drive across the Altiplano highlands past herds of llamas, alpacas, and vicunas. Climb to Patapampa Pass at 4910m/16,109ft, the highest point of your trip, then descend into Colca Valley's scenic landscape.

- Day 9
Colca Valley
Start early at Cruz del Condor to watch giant Andean condors fly overhead. Walk to a viewing platform with canyon views, then trek to the Inca ruins at Uyo Uyo. Back at your lodge, relax in thermal baths or get a massage while taking in the views.

Colca Valley to Puno
Drive across the Altiplano to reach Puno on Lake Titicaca. In the afternoon you'll visit Sillustani ruins, a burial site from three different cultures (Kolla, Tiwanaku, and Inca) set in a beautiful natural setting.

- Day 11
Lake Titicaca
Spend the full day on Lake Titicaca by boat. Visit the floating islands of the Uros, then sail across the world's highest navigable lake to Taquile Island. You'll learn about local weaving traditions on the island of the knitting men and hike with great views.

- Day 12
Puno to Cusco
Bus ride through the highlands toward Cusco with herds of llamas and alpacas along the way. You'll stop at Inca sites like Raqchi and Pukara, and see the religious art in Andahuaylillas before arriving in Cusco by evening.

- Day 13
Cusco
Walk through Cusco, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to see buildings from Inca and colonial times. Visit Koricancha to see how Inca and Spanish architecture differ. An easy hike takes you to two nearby ruins at Sacsayhuaman and Kenko.

- Day 14
Cusco to Pisac
After breakfast, drive to Chinchero and explore an archaeological site there. Then head to Moray to see the ceremonial terraces the Incas used as an agricultural test field. Stop at the centuries-old salt pans at Maras before reaching Pisac in the evening.

- Day 15
Pisac to Ollantaytambo
Drive up to the Pisac Inca complex high above the valley. After exploring, hike down and check out the market in the main square. Travel through the Sacred Valley to Ollantaytambo and walk through that impressive Inca complex. Later you'll try traditional chicha, then take the train to Aguas Calientes.

Machu Picchu
Coach takes you to Machu Picchu in the morning. Your guide leads you through this legendary UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can optionally explore more areas or climb one of the two viewing mountains. Return to Cusco by train and bus.

- Day 17
Cusco
Explore Cusco, the former Inca capital, at your own pace. Wander the winding alleyways and soak up the atmosphere. If you want another highlight, there's an optional day trip to Vinicunca, the mountain of seven colors.

Cusco to Lima
Transfer to the airport around midday to start your journey home through Lima with plenty of memories from Peru.

Arrival
You'll arrive home in the evening after your Peruvian adventure.
