Departure
Your flight to Africa departs today. Pack your bags and head to the airport for the start of your Kenya wildlife adventure.

Nairobi
You'll land in Nairobi and make your way to the Giraffe Center, a private breeding station where you can get up close with Rothschild giraffes. After spending time there, you'll check into your hotel in a quieter section of Nairobi for the night.

Lake Nakuru
The drive takes you from Nairobi through bustling towns and farmland until you reach Lake Nakuru. You'll have lunch at the lodge, then head out on your first game drive where you'll spot buffalo, lions, waterbuck, white rhinos, and lots of bird species. By evening you can relax with drinks while looking out over the lake.

Masai Mara
An early morning game drive at Lake Nakuru gets you out when the animals are most active. In the afternoon you'll drive toward the Talek River on the Masai Mara border and visit a traditional Maasai manyatta to see how the pastoral Maasai people live day to day.

- Day 5
Masai Mara
You'll spend the full day in the legendary Masai Mara, home to the Big Five and known for its concentration of big cats. Game drives throughout the day let you take in the savannah, and you'll have a picnic lunch under an acacia tree. A hot air balloon flight is available if you want that aerial view.

Nairobi to Amboseli
Drive out to Amboseli National Park with Mount Kilimanjaro rising in the distance. The landscape here includes acacia forests, swamps, and wide savannahs, plus Lake Amboseli which floods seasonally. You'll do a game drive through the park and overnight at a tented camp.

Amboseli National Park
An early morning safari at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro gives you great chances to see large elephant herds, buffalo, hippos, leopards, lions, and cheetahs. You can also book a hot air balloon ride to experience Amboseli at sunrise if you'd like.

Tsavo West National Park
You'll start with early morning views of Kilimanjaro from camp, then do a morning game drive and grab breakfast. After that you'll drive to Tsavo West and then on to Tsavo East, known for its red elephants and that striking red soil. An afternoon game drive lets you spot buffalo, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.

Tsavo East
Head into Tsavo East National Park for a full day of safari. The red soil and river valleys make for good wildlife viewing, and you'll likely spot elephants, zebras, and buffalo herds. The terrain with its termite mounds and thorn bushes around waterholes helps concentrate animals. You'll stay at your camp again that night.

- Day 11
Tsavo East to Mombasa
A morning safari in Tsavo East gives you one more chance to soak in the wildlife before you drive to Mombasa. This vibrant city blends Swahili culture with Indian, Arabic, Persian, and African influences. You'll reach your beach hotel in a secluded bay on the Indian Ocean by late afternoon.

Mombasa Beach
You'll have time to relax on the 300-meter white private beach with coconut palms lining the shore. There's also a chance to visit the Tiwi Turtle conservation project and learn about sea turtle nesting.
