- Michael· June 6th, 2024The trip was great. The tour was good in itself, but we didn't make any stops in the oases on the trip through the desert. But that was announced. The tour guide was good, but was always on the phone and busy with other things. I would have liked to see a little more nature. Uzbekistan is an agricultural country and we saw very little of it. That could have been done on the trip from Samarkand to Khiva.Show more
- Sandra· October 30th, 2023I still have no words for this incredibly beautiful trip, the great hikes and great moments. I have learned so much about the Japanese culture -then and now- on this trip. Thanks again to my fantastic guide Svenja! Without you, I'm sure this trip would not have been beautiful. I can really recommend this trip to everyone, even if you have been to Japan before, because especially on the hikes through small towns in the countryside, you see completely different corners of this incredibly exciting country.Show more

Asked on November 22nd, 2023Hi, my question was, if you need to be super fit to participate in this adventure. And I will be traveling alone, I want to leave at the 11.8. and I am moderatly fit. Is the journey with transport of luggage? Or do I have to carry all my things with me?
- DIAMIR ErlebnisreisenOperator•Written November 2023
At this tour, you should be fit. Meaning you enjoy hiking, preferably have experience with multi-day tours and can manage uneven terrain. The luggage will be transported by vehicle, so you only need to carry your backpack. The elevation varies: the main day involves 1680m ascent, other days around 1100m and 1200m, with most days under 1000m. There are no exposed or climbing sections. Many routes are over meadows and alpine pastures.
