- Day 1
Departure
You'll board your flight and settle in for the journey ahead. This is your chance to sit back and think about what's coming over the next couple of weeks.
- Day 2
Manaus
You'll land in Manaus and get picked up by your guide for the drive to your hotel in the city center. After checking in, you're free to spend the rest of the day however you like. Teatro Amazonas is just a short walk away if you want to check it out, and most of the main attractions are pretty close by, so you can wander around and get your bearings without feeling rushed.

- Day 3
Manaus to Amazon Lodge
Early morning starts with a car ride and then a speedboat heading toward the lodge. You'll see the Meeting of the Waters where the Rio Negro and Rio Solimões meet. Along the way, you'll pass through indigenous villages and Caboclo communities with their floating houses. After lunch with local fish and tropical fruit, you head out on your first boat tour looking for caimans, birds, and monkeys, with a chance to spot river dolphins and sloths if you're lucky.

Amazon Lodge
Wake up to howler monkeys calling across the rainforest as sunrise happens. You'll take a hike to learn about the rainforest ecosystem and how locals get drinking water. Later in the afternoon, you'll explore by water. After dinner, head back out with flashlights to spot caimans in the darkness.

- Day 5
Amazon Lodge
Today focuses on local culture and the people who live here. You'll visit a Caboclo house to see how indigenous and European traditions have mixed together in daily life. In the afternoon, you'll go piranha fishing while listening to the rainforest sounds and talking with your guide about what life is like in the Amazon.

- Day 6
Amazon Lodge
Your guide takes you through the rainforest's medicinal plants, showing which ones have made their way into Western medicine or inspired modern drugs. You'll learn about the knowledge indigenous people have passed down through generations. There's also a discussion about the rubber boom's history. Spend your afternoon relaxing in a hammock or paddling a canoe if you prefer something quieter.

- Day 7
Amazon Lodge to Manaus
In the morning, you'll travel through flooded forest areas called Igapós and small canals known as Igarapés where freshwater dolphins, woolly and howler monkeys, birds, and sloths hang out. After lunch, you drive back to Manaus and get to enjoy some of the comforts of city life again.

- Day 8
Manaus to Cuiabá
Depending on your flight time, you'll have some time to walk around Manaus on your own. Then you'll head to the airport for your flight to Cuiabá, where someone picks you up and takes you to your hotel.

- Day 9
Cuiabá to Bom Jardim
You leave Cuiabá early and drive to Bom Jardim where you get fitted with snorkeling gear. You'll drift through crystal-clear water checking out the underwater plants and animals. After lunch, there's a short hike to explore this ecosystem. Later in the afternoon, you watch dozens of macaws and parrots fly back to their nests at Lagoa das Araras with quite a lot of noise and activity.

Bom Jardim to Pantanal
Early risers can join the guide for a morning walk around the lodge grounds before breakfast. Then you drive through Cuiabá to Poconé, the last town before the Pantanal. From there, you continue on the Transpantaneira earth road to your accommodation. After lunch and a rest, you join a short walking safari, then head out on a night safari to look for nocturnal animals.

Landmarks Poconé - Day 11
Pantanal
Start before sunrise on an exploration tour to see the Pantanal waking up. After breakfast, take a boat tour looking for giant otters, herons, and jabiru storks. Following a rest period, you go out in an open safari vehicle to watch animals around the lodge grounds. End the day with a night safari, spotting nocturnal animals and caimans by flashlight.

- Day 12
North Pantanal
This morning you'll head out on a hike through the North Pantanal while the air's still cool. You might see monkeys swinging through the trees or capybaras hanging around the wetlands. Then in the afternoon, you'll switch gears and go on a photo safari in an open vehicle where you can spot hyacinth macaws, Jabiru storks, more capybaras, caimans, and if you're lucky, maybe even anteaters. There's also an optional jaguar-hunting trip to Porto Jofre if you want to add that to your day.

Pantanal to Iguazu
Depending on your flight time, you might have one more morning to explore the lodge grounds. Then you drive to Cuiabá for a flight to Iguazu. The rest of the day is free depending on when you arrive. You can check out the city or relax at your hotel.

- Day 14
Iguazu Falls (Brazilian Side)
Visit the national park to see the Brazilian side of Foz do Iguaçu waterfalls. The water volume creates steam that rises up and keeps the surrounding forest green and moist. You'll walk along a thousand-meter walkway to reach Garganta do Diabo (Devil's Throat). Then visit the bird park with over 150 bird species including macaws, parrots, and toucans.

- Day 15
Iguazu Falls (Argentine Side)
Cross into Argentina to get a closer view of the waterfalls and jungle. From this side you'll experience the power and spray of the cascading water, see massive rainbows, and feel the mist all around you. The perspective from Argentina offers a different feel than the Brazilian side. Then you head back to your hotel in Brazil.

Iguazu Departure
You have free time before your airport transfer to explore on your own. With all the impressions from your Brazilian adventure still fresh, you'll head back across the Atlantic to Europe. Or, if you want, consider staying longer and heading to Rio de Janeiro instead.

Arrival
