Itinerary
- Day 1
Cape Town
Your guide meets you at the hotel around 8 a.m. to go over what's coming in the next few days. You'll head to Hout Bay harbor first to check out the local market and get a feel for the area. After that, you'll drive to Boulders Beach to see the African penguin colony up close, then spend time walking around Cape Point Nature Reserve. By evening, you're free to head down to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront if you want to grab dinner at one of the restaurants there.

- Day 2
Cedar Mountains
You'll drive north toward the Cedar Mountains, where the landscape shifts to something really striking. Wind and rain have carved out strange rock formations in bright red sandstone that look almost otherworldly. In the afternoon, you get out on foot with your guide to walk through this rocky terrain and get a closer look at the geological formations around you.

Oranje River, Namibia
The landscape becomes progressively more sparse as you head into Namibia. You'll set up camp on the Oranje River, which marks the border between Namibia and South Africa. The river water is clean and refreshing if you want to swim, and you'll have the choice to either take a short hike in the area or go canoeing, depending on what you prefer.

Landmarks Oranje River - Day 4
Fish River Canyon
You'll visit Fish River Canyon, which ranks as the second largest canyon in the world and drops about 550 meters. The scale of it is really something to take in. In the afternoon, you'll hike along the canyon edge with your guide, walking the rim and stopping to take in the views. By late afternoon, you'll be positioned for sunset, which paints the canyon walls in warm light.

- Days 5 - 6
Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon
You'll reach Sossusvlei and the towering red dunes of the Namib Desert. Early on, you can climb Dune 45 on foot to get views of the surrounding dunes, river valleys, and mountains stretching out below you. Later, you'll walk the final 3.5 kilometers into Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, or take a shuttle if you prefer. You'll also check out the nearby Sesriem Canyon. By evening, you'll be back at camp watching the sunset over the dunes.

- Days 7 - 8
Swakopmund
You'll arrive in Swakopmund, a coastal resort town on the Atlantic with colonial buildings that have real character. The surrounding desert area has lunar-like landscapes, quiver tree forests, and prehistoric Welwitschia plants scattered around. Your time here is free to explore on your own or join optional activities. If you're into action, sand-boarding or quad biking are available options.

Landmarks Swakopmund 
- Day 9
Cape Cross and Spitzkoppe
You'll head north to Cape Cross to see the seal colony, where there are over 80,000 animals gathered together, which is an incredible sight. From there, you'll drive inland to Spitzkoppe, where massive granite towers shoot up from the desert floor. You'll camp at the base of these formations and do a short hike to explore the area around you, then settle in for another sunset over the landscape.

- Day 10
Brandberg
You'll travel to Brandberg, Namibia's highest peak, and camp near the dried-up Ugab River bed. This region is home to rare desert elephants. With a local guide, you'll walk out into the rocky landscape searching for the countless rock paintings that cover the area. It's a chance to see both the natural environment and ancient cultural marks.

Landmarks Brandberg - Days 11 - 12
Etosha National Park
You'll enter Etosha National Park, known as the 'great white place of dry water' for its sprawling salt pan. This wildlife-rich area in northwest Namibia offers excellent game viewing. You'll do morning and afternoon game drives across the vast Etosha Pan, where you'll likely see elephants, antelope herds, lions, and other animals. Photography opportunities here are really strong. Back at camp, you can cool off in the swimming pool if the heat builds up.

- Day 13
Windhoek
You'll arrive in Windhoek, the capital, which sits in a valley and mixes modern buildings with structures from the German colonial period. You can take a walk through the city to get a sense of the place and see the different architectural styles. Later, your evening is yours to explore restaurants in town if you want to go out for dinner.
