Itinerary
- Day 1
Frankfurt to Amman
Your flight from Frankfurt lands in Amman, and after clearing customs, you'll be transferred to your hotel. This is your first evening to settle in and get your bearings before the adventure starts.
- Day 2
Amman - Jerash - Ajloun
After breakfast, you'll drive north to Jerash to walk through the Roman ruins scattered across the site. From there, head to the Ajloun highlands where you'll hike through olive groves and sandstone formations to reach Rasun village. You'll have lunch with a local family, then spend the night staying with a host family surrounded by pistachio and pine trees.

- Day 3
Ajloun to Dead Sea to Dana
Following breakfast and a morning walk through the nature reserve, the drive takes you to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. You'll float in the mineral-rich water with red mountains and white salt deposits surrounding you, then continue south to Dana nature reserve where you'll sleep for the night.

Landmarks Dead Sea Dana Nature Reserve - Day 4
Dana
This morning you'll start hiking from Dana village down through Jordan's largest nature reserve into the Jordan Rift Valley. The route passes through forested mountains, rocky slopes, desert landscapes, and sand dunes. You'll reach Feynan by late afternoon and camp for the night.

Landmarks Dana Nature Reserve Jordan Rift Valley - Day 5
Feynan to Mteir Elriz
You'll hike on a stony and steep path that follows an old Bedouin route through southeastern Jordan. After crossing a mountain ridge with views over Wadi Araba, you'll take the donkey path down to Mteir Elriz where dinner waits. The night is spent camping under the sky.

Landmarks Wadi Araba - Day 6
Mteir Elriz to Shekaret Msayed
The path starts with a slight descent then climbs as views get more spectacular. You'll pass Nabataean ruins and a small spring while moving through the Sharah Mountains. Lunch happens in the shade of juniper trees before reaching Shekaret Msayed camp, surrounded by mountains where you'll camp.

Shekaret Msayed to Beida
As you hike, the landscape shifts from narrow wadis to wide rocky sandstone formations. You'll cross fields to reach the white sandstone formations of Beida, then descend to Little Petra. Tonight you'll camp in this area.

Beida to Petra
Starting on a little-used Bedouin path across fields, you'll walk along the first sandstone cliffs before descending. About an hour in, you'll reach Ad-Deir monastery, Petra's first landmark. You'll pass temples and tombs, enter a lesser-known Siq, and finally see the Treasury, the most famous Nabataean structure. Tonight you'll sleep in a hotel.

Petra
Today you have the full day to explore Petra at your own pace. This ancient Nabataean city was carved into rose-colored rock and is one of the New Seven Wonders. You can visit royal tombs, hike through the narrow rocky gorge, and discover the site on your schedule. You'll stay another night at the hotel.

Landmarks Petra Royal Tombs Petra - Day 10
Petra to Wadi Rum
After an early start, you'll meet your trekking team in the Wadi Rum village and load luggage onto four-wheel drive vehicles. You'll head to Rakabat Canyon, then continue to Jebel Burda where a tented camp waits. Choose between a traditional Bedouin tent woven from goat's hair or sleeping under the stars, and the evening ends with campfire and Bedouin stories.

Landmarks Rakabat Canyon Jebel Burda Wadi Rum - Day 11
Wadi Rum
You'll drive by off-road vehicle to Jebel Burda and climb pale yellow sandstones that turn reddish as you go higher. At the summit, you'll cross an impressive rock bridge and see views across the entire region. Continue hiking through sandy wadis and rocky areas to Jebel Um Fruth's smaller rock bridge where camp is set up, and you'll spend the night in a tent.

Wadi Rum to Aqaba
You'll hike in the rarely visited Wadi Saabit near the Saudi Arabian border, climbing toward Jordan's highest mountain. After the initial difficult section, you'll gain altitude quickly with views into Saudi Arabia from the summit. Then you'll descend and head to Aqaba on the Red Sea for a hotel night. If preferred, hike in Wadi Rum instead of climbing the mountain.

- Day 13
Aqaba to Madaba
After midday, you'll leave Aqaba and head back toward Amman, stopping at the Crusader castle of Kerak. Built about 900 years ago, it still looks formidable today. You'll explore the bakery, church, and sleeping quarters to see how people lived during Crusader times. The drive continues to Madaba where you'll spend the night.
