Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Casablanca

    Your private driver picks you up from the airport and heads to your hotel in Casablanca. Once settled, you'll start exploring the Hassan II Mosque with its prominent minaret and interesting architecture. After that, you can walk through the old medina at your own pace, grab lunch at a local cafe, and check out the Central Market, Habous Quarter, or Royal Palace depending on what interests you most.

  2. Day 2

    Salé

    Head to Rabat, Morocco's capital, and visit the Hassan Tower, a 12th-century minaret standing at 145 feet with about 200 columns around it from the Almohad Dynasty. Your driver can recommend lunch spots once you're ready to eat. In the afternoon, you'll travel to nearby Salé to tour the historic Madersa and walk through the walled neighborhoods of Bab Antare and Bab Mellah. Dinner is at your leisure with recommendations from your guide.

  3. Day 3

    Moulay Idriss - Volubilis

    After breakfast, you'll drive through the Atlas Mountains toward Fes with a stop in Meknes first. There you'll explore the Ville Impériale area with its gardens and palaces, see the gate of Bab al-Mansour, check out the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, and visit the Royal Stables. Then you'll head to the hillside town of Moulay Idriss, founded in 789 and notable for having Morocco's only round minaret, where you can grab lunch. Next comes Volubilis, a UNESCO site with well-preserved Roman ruins and mosaics. You'll end the day relaxing in Fes.

  4. Day 4

    Fes

    Meet your local guide after breakfast to explore the UNESCO-protected Fes medina with its winding alleyways, grand madersas, and palaces. Your guide will share stories about the area and help with lunch and dinner recommendations as you observe daily life. In the afternoon, you'll visit tanneries and mosaic workshops to watch artisans using traditional crafting methods. Head back to your riad to relax, or if you prefer, continue wandering the medina on your own.

  5. Day 5

    Fes

    Start with a hearty breakfast, then spend 5 hours in a cooking class where you'll shop for ingredients at a local market and learn traditional Moroccan cooking methods and spices. You'll prepare and eat a 4-course meal to wrap up the class. For the afternoon, you can explore the city freely or relax at a traditional hammam with black olive-oil soap scrub and steam therapy. Freshen up before heading out for dinner on your own in the evening.

  6. Day 6

    Sefrou

    Rise early to travel to the Berber village of Ahinajen in the Middle Atlas Mountains using a local souk van or pick-up truck the way locals do. You'll have lunch with a local family once you arrive. Later in the afternoon, head down the valley to spend time with farmers working their lands and see how traditional families live. On the way back to Fes, stop at the mausoleum of Sidi Bousghin for views of Sefrou and the snow-capped Middle Atlas Mountains. Choose to have dinner in either Sefrou or Fes depending on timing.

  7. Day 7

    Fes to Marrakech

    After an early breakfast, you'll begin an 8-hour drive through the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. Along the way you'll see historical Berber villages, an almond-tree farm, and possibly spot Barbary Apes in the mountains. Stop for lunch in Beni-Mellal during the drive. Once you arrive in Marrakech and check into your accommodation, head to Jemaa el Fna Square, the main plaza that really comes alive each evening with musicians, performers, snake charmers, games, and food stalls. You can relax at the surrounding cafes or jump into the energy.

    Your local guide will lead you on a walking tour through Marrakech's UNESCO medina, and you'll wind through narrow streets browsing the souk with djellabas, colorful babouches, intricately designed lanterns, and exotic spices. Your guide will share historical details as you walk. After lunch, head back to your accommodation to rest before the evening's 3-hour guided food tour around the medina starting around 6 pm, where you'll taste various local food and drinks.

    Marrakech to Ourika Valley

    After breakfast, you'll drive from Marrakech into the Atlas Mountains foothills and through the Ourika Valley with its picturesque mountain villages. Continue to Setti Fatma, which is known for its streams, seven waterfalls, dramatic cliffs, and green valleys where medieval farming methods still happen. You'll walk around the valley and hike to the first waterfall with your local guide, taking in nature and mountain views along the way. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant with mountain views, then return to Marrakech in the evening with time to explore and find dinner on your own.

    Marrakech to Essaouira

    After breakfast, travel for 3 hours to Essaouira, a popular surfing beach town, passing rolling plains and through the unique argan tree forest. Stop to visit a local women's association that produces argan oil known for health and beauty benefits, and you'll likely see goats grazing high in the branches. Once you arrive, walk the impressive seawalls and check out the old medina including its well-preserved Jewish quarter. Visit the commercial harbor where fishermen bring in their daily catches, then grab lunch of fresh grilled or fried fish at simple food stalls. Check into your luxury riad, then return to the medina later for the evening atmosphere and nightlife.

    Azemour

    After a leisurely breakfast, you'll head toward Casablanca along the scenic coast. First stop is El Jadida to tour the Portuguese cistern, walk the ramparts, and visit the Church of the Assumption. Then visit Azemour, an artistic town that's inspired many Moroccan artists to settle there, with its 16th-century medina tucked between the river and ocean. Once in Casablanca, you'll check into your accommodation and grab lunch. In the afternoon, your guide takes you to the medina and Hassan II Mosque with its famous tallest minaret. After the tour, spend your evening and dinner at leisure in the bustling medina.

    Casablanca Departure

    It's time to leave Morocco. Depending on your flight time, you might have a chance for last-minute sightseeing in Casablanca or enjoy tea at one of the traditional cafes. When you're ready, head to Mohammed V International Airport for your departure flight.
