Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi to Tu Le
Your hotel pickup happens at 7:30 am, then you'll drive through Nghia Lo town where Thai ethnic communities live. By around 2-3 pm you'll reach Tu Le and start exploring the surrounding rice fields, springs, and villages. You can pick between a longer trek (10km, taking about 3.5 hours) or a shorter one (6-7km, roughly 2 hours) through rice paddies and muddy local paths with streams. There's an option to swim with local kids if you're up for it. That evening you'll stay in a traditional Thai wooden stilt house with a local family.

Tu Le to Mu Cang Chai
After breakfast you'll drive over Khau Pha pass, one of Northern Vietnam's four greatest passes, with scenic views of Lim Mong and Lim Thai villages where paragliding happens. Then you'll arrive in Mu Cang Chai and hike about 3 hours from La Pan Tan village up to Raspberry Hill, known for its round-shaped rice terraces that H'mong people built over centuries. Lunch happens on the main road or you can eat with a local Hmong family if you prefer. In the afternoon you'll either trek through a bamboo forest to Mang Mu village or hike to Sang Nhu village for sunset views over horse-feed-shaped rice terraces (this route's steeper). Another night in a stilt house homestay in the area.

- Day 3
Mu Cang Chai to Hanoi
You'll have breakfast then hike roughly 9-10 km (taking 3-3.5 hours) from Kim Noi Thai village heading toward Hang Dang De and Che Cu Nha through high mountain terrain. You'll pass through H'mong villages and see a waterfall in a remote area, and locals will show you about rice planting and harvesting. There's a chance to visit houses or schools to see how people live. You'll head back for lunch at Nga Ba Kim. Later, you transfer to Tu Le with an optional 2km downhill hike from Khau Pha pass down to It Thai village before returning to Hanoi around 6-7 pm.
