Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Tallinn
You'll be picked up at the airport and driven to your hotel in central Tallinn. If your flight gets in early, there's time to wander around and take in the steep red roofs, church spires, and pastel buildings scattered throughout the old town. At 6 pm you'll join everyone for a welcome meeting, followed by dinner in the atmospheric Old Town area where you can get a feel for the medieval character of the place.

Tallinn
After breakfast, a local guide leads a walking tour through Estonia's capital, taking you past medieval buildings and old fortifications. You'll see the 13th-century Toompea Castle and the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, which has a viewing platform with city views, plus check out artisan studios around town. The afternoon is free time, so you can rent a bike or catch a tram out to Kadriorg Park where several of the city's museums are clustered together.

Tallinn to Pärnu
You'll head out after breakfast to Jõesuu village near Soomaa National Park where you'll meet a local cider-making family and taste their organic ciders and soft drinks. Then it's on to Pärnu, Estonia's summer capital known for its beaches and spa culture. Your leader gives you an orientation walk through town, and the rest of the day is yours to explore the area or relax at one of the local spas. You'll stay at a grand Art Nouveau boutique hotel.

- Day 4
Pärnu to Riga
Travel brings you to Cesis, one of the Baltic region's best-preserved medieval towns that's managed to stay mostly unchanged despite wars. Your leader takes you through the medieval castle and park, showing you the wooden architecture and a brewery that's been operating since 1590. Later you'll stop at Ligatne to see a secret Soviet bunker built as a nuclear war shelter. By evening you'll arrive in Riga, Latvia's capital, with optional dinner available at a local restaurant in the Old Town.

Riga
After breakfast, a walking tour takes you through Riga's Old Town covering Riga Cathedral, St. Peter's Church, the Swedish gates, and Gunpowder Tower. You'll see the Freedom Monument marking Latvia's independence, then head to Riga Market, one of Europe's largest, where you can taste local specialities like smoked fish and creamy Latvian cheese before lunch. You'll try Riga Black Balsam with the group to toast the trip, then have the afternoon free to explore on your own.

Riga to Klaipėda
You'll travel to Sabile to visit the world's northernmost vineyard according to Guinness records and sample local wines like sparkling apple wine, blackcurrant wine, and cherry vermouth at a winery. Next stop is Kuldiga, called Nordic Venice because it's a well-preserved medieval Baltic town that survived the 20th century wars intact. After lunch and a stroll down the main pedestrian street to Ventas Rumba viewpoint, you'll cross into Lithuania and settle into Klaipėda for the evening.

Klaipėda
This day takes you to Curonian Spit National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site that was the second-oldest national park in the former Soviet Union. A short ferry ride gets you there, and then you'll walk through fisherman villages, sand dunes, and forests, including some villages slowly being swallowed by shifting sands. You'll visit Juodkrante to see its forest of nearly 100 carved wooden sculptures telling Lithuanian folk tales and catch views of the Russian border in the distance. An amber museum visit includes learning about amber mining and trying an amber drink before you return to Klaipėda for dinner.

Klaipėda to Vilnius
You'll travel across Lithuania to Trakai, where the impressive 14th-century Trakai Island Castle sits on an island in the middle of Lake Galvė, making it the only castle in Eastern Europe built this way. The day starts with a pastry-making class where you'll learn to prepare kybyns, the traditional Lithuanian pastries filled with mutton and onion, followed by hearty soup. After that you'll explore the castle grounds before heading to Vilnius for your final night.

- Day 9
Vilnius
After breakfast, an expert guide takes you on a city tour of Vilnius, a place shaped by Swedish, Polish, French, and Russian influences throughout its history. You'll pass through Cathedral Square and the Old Town, learning about Grand Duke Gediminas and the prestigious history of Vilnius University. The afternoon is yours to visit the Museum of Occupation and Freedom Fights in the former KGB headquarters, climb Lithuania's tallest building at the TV Tower where independence was declared in 1991, stroll through gardens, or explore the artistic district of Uzupis. You'll join the group for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Departure from Vilnius
