Itinerary
- Day 1
Inverness to Isle of Skye
You'll leave Inverness and drive through the Highlands with Loch Ness alongside the road the whole way, then pass through Glen Shiel where historic battles took place. Eilean Donan Castle comes into view before you cross the Skye Bridge to reach Portree. After grabbing lunch, there's time to see Kilt Rock and its waterfall, climb around Old Man of Storr, and walk the Quiraing's dramatic paths. By evening you'll settle in at The Skye Inn for four nights.

- Day 2
Isle of Skye
The day starts with a full Scottish breakfast before heading out to the Cuillin Mountain Range where you'll hear about the clan conflicts tied to the landscape. From there you'll travel to Tormore Forest in the Sleat Peninsula to meet the local Sleat Community Trust team and start volunteer work. A picnic happens at the base, then you'll walk to Fairy Pools to see the waterfalls with Cuillin peaks framing everything. Getting back to Portree takes the rest of the evening.

Isle of Skye
The morning continues with more volunteer work in Tormore Forest. In the afternoon, you'll shift focus to learning about Gaelic language and island culture, heading to Sabhal Mòr Ostaig (the National Centre for Gaelic Language and Culture). There you'll take a taster session where you pick up basic phrases and practice how people actually speak Gaelic in Scotland.

Isle of Skye
This afternoon is set aside to explore Sleat's beaches and rough coastlines as a break from volunteering. You'll walk down to Skye's southernmost point to find a white sandy beach with clear turquoise water where there's a good spot for eating lunch. The lighthouse visit gives you views toward Rum, Canna, and Eigg, then you'll check out local art galleries and small shops before heading back for the evening.

Isle of Skye to Inverness
You'll finish your final volunteer shift in Tormore Forest through the morning. After lunch, head to Torabhaig Distillery, Skye's second licensed Single Malt Scotch Whisky distillery, for a tour and tasting to mark the end of your volunteer time and celebrate with new friends. Then you'll drive back to Inverness in the afternoon, wrapping up the five-day trip.
