  1. Day 1

    Mexico City Airport Arrival

    Your guide and driver pick you up at Mexico City Airport and drive you to the hotel, about 30 minutes from the terminal. This gives you time to settle in and get oriented before your tour officially begins.

  2. Day 2

    Mexico City

    Start at the Zocalo where you'll see the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Palace, plus an exterior view of the Templo Mayor. After that, head to Coyoacan for a walking tour through the Frida Kahlo Museum (the Blue House) and Leon Trotsky's House Museum. You'll return to your hotel by evening.

  3. Day 3

    Teotihuacan to Puebla

    Drive about an hour to Teotihuacan, stopping at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe along the way. Climb the Pyramid of the Sun for views across the ancient city, then walk the Avenue of the Dead toward the Pyramid of the Moon. You'll also visit a workshop to see obsidian carving and learn about the craft before heading to Puebla, which takes roughly 2 hours from there.

    Puebla to Oaxaca

    In Puebla, walk through the historic city center with your guide, checking out the Rosary Chapel, Church of Santo Domingo, the Zocalo, and the Alley of the Frogs. Then drive to Monte Alban to see the archaeological site with its ball game venues, temples, tombs, and hieroglyphic reliefs overlooking the valley. Later in the afternoon, continue to Oaxaca and explore the Historic Centre including Zocalo Square, the Church and Convent of Santo Domingo of Guzman, and the House of Juarez Site Museum.

  5. Day 5

    Oaxaca to Tehuantepec

    Head 10 kilometers to El Tule to see the massive cypress tree known for having the world's widest trunk. Then visit Teotitlan del Valle to learn about local weaving from a family and see their natural dyeing techniques. Stop at Mitla, an ancient site called the 'land of the dead' with both colonial churches and ancient ruins, before traveling through the isthmus toward Tehuantepec.

    Drive 4.5 hours through Tuxtla Gutierrez to reach Sumidero Canyon. You'll take a shared boat trip lasting 2 to 3 hours through steep cliffs that rise up to 1,000 meters high. After landing, it's about a 2-hour drive in the afternoon to San Cristobal de las Casas where you'll settle in for the night.

  7. Day 7

    San Cristobal de las Casas

    Start with a guided walk through San Cristobal de las Casas, strolling the narrow cobbled Calle Real de Guadalupe with its colorful houses and visiting the Santo Domingo Church which has a large open-air crafts market. Then drive about 20 minutes to San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan to spend time with a Tzotzil family, learning about their traditional way of life and weaving practices. You'll head back to San Cristobal by the end of the day.

    Campeche to Merida

On the way, stop at Uxmal to see the ruins that represent the peak of Mayan artistic and architectural work with stone carvings, sculptures, and murals. You'll also explore two cenotes for a refreshing swim in the forest before reaching Merida and checking into your hotel.

    Tekit Cooking Experience

    Travel to Tekit village where a family member will guide you through the day. You'll handpick fresh fruits and vegetables from a plot of land, then go to the local market for other cooking ingredients. Back at the Mayan home, you'll learn to prepare your lunch. If there's time, you can walk through the village before heading back to Merida in the late afternoon.

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
