- AErika Howe Gallagher· October 6th, 2022I had been on one previous G Adventures voyage (back in the Gap Adventure days). That trip to Egypt had prompted me to use G Adventures with this trip to Peru. I would not hesitate in recommending the organized trips of G Adventures. In Egypt I was with my husband. In Peru I was by myself. Whether travelling alone or in a group, the organization and service is second to none. I travel "tourist class" with these kinds of trips. If someone is wanting "luxury" I am sure they would choose a different style of vacation. I prefer active trips. Next time I travel, I plan to travel the "road less travelled" with fewer tourists--yes, I realize Machu Picchu is a UNESCO world heritage site and as such is much more tourist-ridden than other parts of the world. I know that G Adventures will be there for my next voyage.Show moreTrip date: May 2022Review collected by G Adventures
- AJohanne Harvey· June 27th, 2022Peru Multi-Sport is an intense and wonderfull way to discover the Andes if you are an active person. The guides are amazing, you meet great people. It is a great challenge, because of the altitude, but 100 % worth it and doable. I would redo this trip tomorrow if I could, I am full of awesome memories, and the history of the Incas is very interesting. It is not a goodbye Peru, but a see you soon ! :)Show moreTrip date: November 2022Review collected by G Adventures
- AShannon Umerez· December 6th, 2022This was an amazing and eye opening trip that has me second guessing my life decisions and choices. So thank you so making me want to quit my career and flip upside down cause now I'm sad to be home. I just wanted a fun vacation but instead I was shown a new way of life, a change in perspective, and provided with a new goal for myself. What the actual heck.Show moreTrip date: May 2022Review collected by G Adventures

Asked on April 3rd, 2023how difficult is the 2-day biking excursions? We have never done mountain biking. How many hours per day will we be biking in those 2 days?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written April 2023
To best enjoy this trip, you should be pretty confident and competent on a bike with experience doing long days of cycling on dirt/gravel paths. The trail itself is considered a 'green circle' rating, but it's Moderate for the physical rating. You can expect a full day's riding on both days, from 6-8 hours per day depending on the fitness level of the group, and the paths are undulating, so there are some uphill climbs as well as downhill portions where gravity will naturally increase your speed, which is why confidence is important.

Asked on March 11th, 2022what would be the best type of luggage to take? Shall it be a backpack or can I bring a regular suitcase? And second, which type of trekking-clothes shall I bring? Will it be very cold in the high mountains? Shall I bring a small light for the nights?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written March 2022
We recommend the use of a duffel bag or backpack/soft suitcase, whichever is easiest for you to carry. A good size daypack is also essential. Most people automatically assume that the weather is hot in South America, but because of the higher altitude in the Andes, the temperature can feel quite cold, especially at night. We suggest a base-layer, then a mid-layer such as a light fleece jacket or similar, then a windproof and waterproof layer.
