    Luxor

After breakfast on the boat, you'll head to Luxor's East Bank with your guide to explore the temples there. The Temple of Luxor, built from Nubian sandstone, shows intricate carvings and towering columns from Pharaonic times. Then you'll tour Karnak Temple, a massive complex that's one of Egypt's most visited archaeological sites with its own sacred lake and forest of columns. Back on the cruise by midday for lunch and afternoon tea. The evening brings a disco party on board, so you'll have music and dancing if you're interested.

Upon arrival, you'll tour the Kom Ombo Temple, an unusual double temple dedicated to both the crocodile-god Sobek and the falcon-god Haroeris, and it has fascinating connections to sacred crocodiles in ancient times. Well organised tour with enough time to explore each site on your own after the tour guide has finished his explanation. Nubian village was definitely worth it, as was Abu Simbel despite the very early start and long drive. Our tour guide was Hassan who was a great egyptologist and made clear what the itinerary was for each day and then at each site. He also had a dry sense of humour which we enjoyed as Australians.

  • 5 Days – 4 Nights Nile Cruise 5* From Cairo by Flight reviewer 2
    · November 23rd, 2025
I recently joined the “5 Days – 4 Nights Nile Cruise 5★ from Cairo by Flight,” and overall it was a very good experience. The tour was quite well-organized, and in a short amount of time you get to see the major highlights of Egypt. Our guide, Hassan, was knowledgeable and made the historical parts much easier to follow. The Nile cruise itself was enjoyable and the ship was fairly good for what the tour promises. There is some inevitable fatigue because the schedule is tight, and a small downside is that tipping is expected in many parts of the trip — that’s simply how tourism works in Egypt. Still, the experience as a whole was memorable and offers solid value for anyone wanting to see Egypt’s most important sites quickly and efficiently. I’d rate it 5/5

Really well organised with pick up from hotel to airport and same on way back. Hassan was informative and witty and a pleasure to be around. The cruise ship Alnabilatan was beautiful with lovely attentive staff and top deck pool and jacuzzi. We would recommend this tour.

For our tour guide- Ahmed Kassem was an excellent tourguide, he was punctual, he was the first person off the van, and the last person to hop on, always making sure that everyone is together and didnt leave anyone behind. He was accommodating, and took the time to listen to our wishes, as we have a long international flight after the tour, hence we did not want to do the abu simbel tour on the last day. During the tour, he provided thorough information regarding the sites we have visited, and was happy to answer any questions. He promptly assisted when a group member needed medical assistance. We are happy with his service and thank him for his patience. The tour- We had 8 people in our tour group. For the amount we paid, we can say that it is worth the price. Included in the price were two flights, transfers to cairo airport and to aswan airport, tour guide, van transfers, and three meals a day on board the royal ruby cruise ship for the nile cruise. There was an additional fee of 8usd per day per person for the tips for the cruise ship/ drivers and also for the entrance fees. Holiday in Egypt- as a whole, the company coordinated our car transfers and flights well. Drivers always kind and on time. All staff have been respectful and accomodating. However, for a couple that have never joined a tour group before, the early morning start times have been rather difficult. The Royal Ruby cruise- Breakfast, lunch and dinner were provided on board. They really need to do something about the seating arrangements. It is quite unpleasant to be sitting in a round table in front of strangers and to have non-negotiable seating arrangements. Food is okay, but they need to keep track of what people actually eat and make it available. Going through the unpleasant experience of sitting with strangers in a small confined space, with said strangers yelling and hollering, plus being served a mediocre food is not what we thought a holiday should be. We cannot fault their staff, as they have been helpful and attentive at all times. Our Suggestions: Holiday in Egypt needs to think about the cruise ships they affiliate with. The whole experience of the tour relies heavily on the cruise. It seems that the cruise ships have the same schedule, so they arrive and leave a site at roughly the same time. We do not understand why there is a need to crowd everyone together, when after we leave, the place gets empty. It would have been a much nicer experience if we can actually properly hear our tour guide discuss about something. Another point is that we have seen a few elderly people in the tour groups, so we suggest that the tour guides and also someone in the cruise ship should be available and trained to provide first aid and immediate medical care, if needed. Our tour guide, Ahmed Kaseem had been excellent in his service. Overall, we thank holiday in Egypt for their efforts and for a memorable experience.

This had to have been the most incredible adventure of my life! Holidays in Egypt did an excellent job in planning a great itinerary. Our group of 19 that included two children were kept well entertained and satisfied with all the wonderful sights Egypt has to offer. A huge shout out to our guide Hossam Rashwan who far exceeded our expectations. Hossam went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and safe! Sam was truly the magic man, constantly impressing us with his vast knowledge of all the sights we were visiting. Hossam is the best guide ever. Anyone would be lucky to have him as their guide. Our group of travelers got along fabulously. Life-long friends were made. We will miss you all! I highly recommend Holiday in Egypt to anyone who would like to experience an adventure of a lifetime!

To make your journey easier, we would recommend booking the "5 Days – 4 Nights Nile Cruise from Cairo by Flight." With this option, we will arrange both the domestic flight from Cairo to Luxor and all transfers for you, so you won't need to worry about buses or tight connections.

Would the flights include a 23kg luggage? Can you cater for a vegan diet? What called me about your trip is that is was a small group, is that still the same?

    • Holiday In EgyptOperatorWritten September 2025

Luggage allowance: 23 kg checked luggage, 5-7 kg cabin bag. On the cruise ship, all meals are buffet style with plenty of options. You can also ask the chef to highlight vegan choices for you during meals. We already have 2 confirmed solo female travelers joining the same tour on the 3rd of November. The group size on this date is expected to remain under 10 travelers.

Where is the pick up area for Hotels in Cairo and what time will collection be in the morning? As well as what time is the return from Aswan on the last day?

    • Holiday In EgyptOperatorWritten September 2025

Pick-up in Cairo: We will collect you directly from your accommodation in Cairo around 6:00 AM (exact time depends on the flight, but it will be in the morning). Return from Aswan: On the last day, the domestic flight will have you back in Cairo at approximately 8:00 PM some time before.

what time would the flight be leaving from Cairo to Luxor on this date

    Flights / Transfers
    • Holiday In EgyptOperatorWritten September 2025

Your domestic flight from Cairo to Luxor is scheduled to depart at 7:00 AM. I would suggest considering an overnight stay at one of the airport hotels such as Le Méridien Cairo Airport, Novotel Cairo Airport, or Le Passage Hotel—all conveniently located within the airport premises. Alternatively, if you prefer to stay in the terminal for a few hours until your morning flight, that is also fine with us.
