Trip date: May 2025 - RLRichard· June 3rd, 2025This tour was unbelievably good! Exceeded my expectations by a long way. For the price we paid, i did not expect this level of service! We were waited on hand and food and barely needed to lift a finger for anything. The boat was comfy and luxurious, the food was incredible, so much variety and all to a very high standard. Pool on the roof top deck with a bar with reasonably priced drinks. A few fun theme nights where the staff let their hair down was also really fun. The sites we visited, took my breath away, we always had excellent transportation everywhere, either high-end, comfy airconed minibuses, or amazing traditional boats. Everything always taken care of by the guide, we felt like vips the entire time. Our Guide Ahmed Kessam was exceptional, his knowledge and passion for ancient Egypt shone through in his stories and he really made the trip special. At no point in this trip did i ever think i was in any danger, yes there are a lot of people trying to sell you things at different sights, but the guide is a local and will tell you whats worth spending your money on and what isn't. Its no problems politely declining and you're quickly left alone. There is nothing more troublesome than that. Most of the locals are very friendly and kind people who just want to share their culture with you. We added on the nubian village and abu simbel and i would highly recommend doing these add ons. They were such a good experience, and far exceeded the small additional cost. I would not normally go for this type of holiday, but I think i will always look for a package similar to this for future excursions... You will sail aboard a luxury cruise ship covering nearly 300 kilometers, either from Luxor to Aswan or in reverse from Aswan to Luxor. Typically, cruises from Luxor to Aswan take 5 days, while the return journey from Aswan to Luxor takes 4 days. Along the way, the cruise ship stops at various towns and villages to allow guided visits to temples and landmarks situated along the riverbanks. During the cruise, you'll enjoy full board meals, and all cabins feature river views and private en-suite bathrooms. Cabins are available for both single and double occupancy.

Since the floors in the temples are original, they can be uneven. However, they are solid ground—not sandy—so walking through them is very manageable. We recommend bringing a pair of comfortable walking shoes to make your visit more enjoyable. The best months to visit Egypt are from September 1st to the end of April, when the weather is most pleasant. From May through August, it is summer in Egypt and can get quite hot. That said, one advantage of traveling during this time is that the temples tend to be less crowded.
