  1. Day 1

    Tashkent

    Your driver picks you up at the airport and takes you to your hotel for check-in. After settling in, you'll head to the Khast-Imom Complex to see the historic madrasahs and mosques, then wander through Choru Bazaar for some local shopping. Later, take the metro into the city center to walk around Independence Square and Amir Timur Park, then finish at the State Museum of Applied Art.

    Tashkent to Khiva

    Your driver takes you to catch your flight to Urgench. Once you land, a local driver meets you and transfers you to your hotel in Khiva. Your guide then leads you on a walking tour through Ichan Kala, the old inner city, stopping at historic madrasahs, the striking Kalta Minor, the finely carved Juma Mosque, Toshkhovli Palace, and the Khodja Minaret for views over Khiva.

    Khiva to Bukhara

    Your driver takes you on a scenic drive across the Kyzylkum Desert toward Bukhara, about 480km away, which takes roughly 7 to 8 hours. You'll make stops along the way to take in the desert scenery and see the Amudarya River.

    Bukhara

    Your guide leads you on a walking tour through Old Bukhara, starting at the Lyabi Hauz Ensemble where you can browse restaurants, cafes, and shops. From there, you'll see the Magoki-Attori Mosque and Chor-Minor Madrasah, then check out the historic trade domes. After lunch, continue to the madrasahs of Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan, the impressive Kalyan Minaret and Mosque, the sacred Miri-Arab Madrasah, Ark Fortress, Bolo Khauz Mosque, Samanid Mausoleum, and Chashma Ayub Mausoleum.

    Bukhara to Safari Yurt Camp

    Your driver picks you up in the morning and heads toward Safari Yurt Camp. On the way, you'll stop at a Gijduvan pottery masters workshop, visit the Nurata local mosque with its holy spring, and check out Nurata Pass to see petroglyphs. When you reach the camp, try a camel ride and spend the evening listening to folk songs. You'll stay overnight in the yurt camp.

When you arrive, a local driver meets you and transfers you to your hotel.

    It was great. The two guides (do not remember their names) in Buhara and Tashkent are the best. The conditions at the desert site are not very good. You may want skip it.

    we had a great time in Uzbekistan. although we did not have a guide with us all the time, the tour was perfectly organized, and every driver and/or guide we had were always on time. the guides were very knowledgeable and with a perfect English.
