  The 7 day tour was not really a 7 day tour. We had no activities on either Day 1 or Day 7. The itinerary stated that on the first day activities for the day would be discussed. We were told there were none! Throughout the tour there was a lack of communication on a number of items. Even before the tour started there was a difference in itineraries with one stating that the tour finished in Cairo and one showing the tour finished in Luxor. By the time this was cleared up we were unable to get any flights out and had to book a transfer by car to make our flight out of Egypt. This turned into a long 8 hour journey when the driver went via the Red Sea so a second car would take us on to Cairo. Others on our tour had their flight to Cairo included on their last day. We had two tour guides during the tour. One was excellent and the other was not good. Not a great communicator and not helpful.

  This is my first time using Your radar. I really like the service, agency is very organized, from hotel, to tour, and transportation. Kudos extra to my Aswan-Luxor tour guide, Hassan, he is extremely knowledgeable on the history, gave us all details that we need to know about the history site, temple. I will definitely use again tourradar for my next trip.

  Bad communication, false information about the tour. They aren’t a reliable tour agent, all the information provided was not accurate, like dates availability, tour information etc. I went to Egypt and used a different tour company.

  We had a great time on this trip. The small number of people (only 10) on the trip was great. We covered alot of ground and saw all the main sites. Also did the Alexandria and Abu Simbel add ons. Ahmed, our tour manager in Cairo, was very helpful and was always available via WhatsApp. Our guides were knowledgeable and we were lucky to have Sab'h on the cruise portion as she is from Luxor. The sites were amazing. The Pavillion Hotel and its grounds/pool were a perfect end to the trip. Definately recommend for a first time trip to Egypt!

  We attempted to book a tour with Getaways Egypt through Tour Radar. After speaking with them and asking about the availability and specifically telling them we couldn’t do it on the 9th of November, they assured us there was availability on the 7th. We booked it for the 7th, we received confirmation, and the payment was taken. Within the hour of the payment being taken, they changed the date of the tour to the 9th of November and told us the 7th was no longer available. After contacting them about the date change and attempting to find out why they had told us it was available, they told us that if we wanted to go on the 7th we would have to pay an extra £250 to do so. This felt exploitative and all other times we attempted to contact them about it they were rude and short with us. Thanks to tour radar’s help we were able to book onto a different tour and transfer the balance. Don’t use Getaways’ Egypt!

  Getaways Egypt took care of all the details from start to finish. All I had to do was show up and enjoy my trip. Everything was well coordinated and they provided great guides and tour guides. My tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and fun. I immediately felt comfortable and safe. He was always very friendly and I learned a lot about Egyptian history and local life. Besides all this impressive sightseeing, there was also plenty of fun. Furthermore, I was helped all the time, even if it was not about things directly related to the tour. I would book with Getaways Egypt again anytime and can recommend them to anyone.
