Asked on September 24th, 2023We are avid Canadian cyclists and are interested to do a cycle tour in Tasmania. We have mostly stuck to self-guided options in Europe, Canada, Africa, where overnights, maps, and baggage transfer are looked after. But the distances and gradients in Tasmania lead us in the direction of a group/guided tour. We would like to open up a dialogue with you about options. We arrive in Auckland by boat on Feb 15th. We have flexibility on dates after that....even into March.
- Tour de VinesOperator•Written September 2023
We currently have Guided Tours departing on 17th February & 16th March 2024 with prices starting from $5,099 per person AUD. We also offer bike hire at an additional cost: Hybrid: $250pp or E-Bike: $500pp.

Traveler•Written September 2023The tours sound great...but the first date is tight for our arrival in New Zealand (cruise) and the second is too late. We are looking for something Feb 20--Mar 10. Is there a return tour from Hobart around Feb 25th?
- Tour de VinesOperator•Written September 2023
Unfortunately, we only have a limited number of guided tours for Tasmania. We do not offer Self-Guided for this region.

We supply panniers with the bikes on our tours, so no need to bring your own.

Traveler•Written October 2022There don't currently seem to be many on the tour. Is there a danger that it won't be running? My dates off work and booked flights are not flexible.
- Tour de VinesOperator•Written October 2022
We have you booked on the 19 November departure. We have decided to operate this even though it is a slightly smaller group!

Yes bike rental is included for a hybrid bike, you can hire an eBike for an additional charge. The hike is a few hours, most are ok with normal sneakers, but you would be more than welcome to bring hiking shoes if they are more comfortable. It is summer in Tasmania at this time, but its a bit milder than the rest of Australia and great time to go. Normally can expect warm/sunny days. However, we have the support bus if there is rain or it is too hot to ride. In terms of pricing, it will be as per Tour Radar if you are planning to book via this website. We only charge in AUD and the price is $4,499.00 for a twin/double or $5,499.00 for a single direct. The tours will be operated in English, however as long as you are comfortable, and it will be important to understand the instructions, then this is no problem. We would love to welcome you!
