- Day 1
Lima
You'll arrive in Lima and head to your hotel for the day. There's no set agenda here, so take time to settle in, rest after your journey, and get oriented to the city. It's a good chance to adjust to the time zone and grab a meal whenever you're ready.

Lima to Iquitos to Nauta
Early morning flight gets you from Lima to Iquitos, then you'll travel overland to Nauta where the Zafiro Amazon Cruise ship is waiting. After boarding, spend the afternoon getting comfortable in your cabin and meeting the naturalist guides. Cocktails and views from the lounge help you ease into jungle mode, and dinner onboard wraps up your first night.

- Day 3
Pacaya Samiria National Reserve
Before dawn you're out on skiffs around Yanalipa and the Ucayali River looking for parrots, macaws, and saki monkeys. After breakfast back on the ship, you head to the Tapiche River for more wildlife spotting. A cooking demonstration happens before lunch, followed by a talk about the reserve. The afternoon takes you through the 'jungle of mirrors' on the Dorado River where you'll fish and watch for primates and sloths. Late evening brings a nighttime excursion hunting for caimans, tarantulas, and other creatures active after dark.

- Day 4
Yarapa River to Iquitos
Following breakfast, you explore the Yarapa River where pink and gray river dolphins live in dark water alongside capuchin and marmoset monkeys. You'll see the point where the Ucayali and Maranon rivers meet, which is technically where the Amazon River starts. After lunch, a skiff takes you to Huaysi community to learn about local life and customs, with an optional swim in the Tahuayo River if you want. Evening has live music onboard and a farewell dinner.

- Day 5
Iquitos to Cusco
After breakfast you leave the ship and visit the Manatee Rescue Centre to see how orphaned manatees are cared for and returned to the wild. You'll get close to these animals and learn about the conservation work. Later you transfer to Iquitos airport for your flight to Cusco, where you'll be picked up and taken to your hotel.

- Day 6
Sacred Valley
Today covers the Sacred Valley on a guided tour. You start at Pisac ruins which include the Temple of the Sun, baths, altars, water fountains, and ceremonial areas. The markets at Pisac let you browse and haggle for textiles and crafts. After a buffet lunch, you head to Ollantaytambo fortress with its dramatic terraces and precisely cut stone blocks. The 'live Inca town' here still has residents following traditional customs, which you can walk through before returning to your hotel.

- Day 7
Machu Picchu
A train carries you through the highlands toward Aguas Calientes, then a bus takes you up to Machu Picchu. Your guide walks you through the Main Plaza, the Sacred Sun Dial, and the Royal Quarters while explaining the site's history and mysteries. After exploring, you take the afternoon train back to Cusco and transfer to your hotel.

Cusco
The morning involves a guided tour of Cusco's center, including Santo Domingo church, the 17th century cathedral, and Plaza de Armas. You'll also visit Sacsayhuaman fortress where the views of the city are great, then stop at Qenqo Amphitheatre, Tambomachay, and Puka Pukara. The afternoon and evening are free, so you can wander around on your own, grab dinner wherever looks good, or relax at your hotel.

Cusco to Puno
The Titicaca train takes you from Cusco to Puno along one of the world's beautiful rail routes. An outdoor observatory wagon lets you watch the scenery roll by while live music and traditional dancing happen onboard. When you arrive in Puno, you transfer to your hotel right on the shore of Lake Titicaca, the world's highest navigable lake.

- Day 10
Lake Titicaca
You're up early for a full day on Lake Titicaca by motorboat. First stop is Taquile island where Quechua-speaking residents show you their hand weaving techniques. Next you go to Chucuito peninsula to eat traditional food with the rural Aymara community along the lake. The final stop brings you to the Uros floating reed islands, where residents have actually built the islands from Tortora reeds and use them for homes, boats, and even food.
