Itinerary
- Day 1
Cape Town
You'll get picked up at Cape Town International Airport and head to your hotel in the Waterfront area. Spend the afternoon however you'd like, whether that's resting up or wandering around the Mother City on your own. At 6 PM, you'll meet your guide and the rest of the group in the hotel lobby for a quick briefing before the trip starts.

Cape Peninsula
Today you'll drive along the Atlantic coast through Hout Bay and Chapman's Peak Drive, checking out Table Mountain National Park and Cape Point. There's a cable car ride up Table Mountain included if the weather cooperates. On the way back, you'll travel along the Indian Ocean coastline. By evening, the Waterfront restaurants and bars are yours to explore.

Cape Town to Namaqualand
You'll leave Cape Town and head into Namaqualand, which puts on quite a show with wildflowers from August through October. The day wraps up at a guesthouse at the base of Van Ryns Pass. There's an optional wine tasting of local wines available if you're interested.

Namaqualand to Augrabies Falls National Park
You're heading north toward Augrabies Falls National Park, passing through wine country along the way. In the afternoon, you'll see the falls from different vantage points. The Orange River drops 56 meters here, and locals call it 'Aukoerebis,' which means 'place of great noise' for good reason.

Augrabies Falls to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park
You'll continue north into Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in the Kalahari, a massive 3.6 million hectare reserve. Game drives in the morning and afternoon give you good chances to spot predators and the famous black mane lions since there's not much vegetation to hide in. You're staying two nights here.

Kgalagadi to Fish River Canyon, Namibia
After leaving the Kalahari, you'll head west and cross into Namibia. Later this afternoon or early tomorrow, you'll get to Fish River Canyon, the second largest in the world. At its deepest, it reaches 549 meters down. The lodge sits in a really scenic spot for the night.

Fish River Canyon to Sesriem
You're driving north through changing landscapes toward your lodge near the Namib Desert, just a few kilometers from Sossusvlei's massive dunes. Tomorrow morning you'll walk into the desert, doing a 5 km guided trek through Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, plus a hike through Sesriem Canyon. Keep an eye out for springbok, oryx, and ostrich.

Sesriem to Swakopmund
You'll head to the coast today, stopping at Walvis Bay for lunch where thousands of flamingos gather to feed. By afternoon you're in Swakopmund, the German colonial town. The rest of the day is free, and there's optional dolphin-watching cruises or scenic desert flights if you want them.

Swakopmund to Damaraland
After a relaxed morning, you'll drive north through Damaraland's mountainous terrain. Your lodge sits on a mountaintop with views all around, and there's even a pool carved right out of the natural rock.

Damaraland to Etosha National Park
You're heading to Etosha, Namibia's main national park, for your first game drive from the overland vehicle. A giant salt pan dominates the landscape, and wildlife congregates around the few water sources. Your lodge is just outside the park entrance where you can hear the bush at night from your patio. Tomorrow brings a full day in open 4x4 vehicles spotting lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and giraffes.

Etosha to Rundu
It's a long drive today as you leave Etosha and head north into the Caprivi Strip, that narrow bit of Namibia between Botswana and Angola. You'll stay at a lodge near the Okavango River. There's an optional boat cruise this afternoon if you want it, or you can just relax and take in the peaceful setting.

Landmarks/POIs Caprivi Strip Okavango River Rundu - Days 15 - 16
Rundu to Okavango Delta, Botswana
You'll travel deeper into the Caprivi Strip and then cross into Botswana, arriving at your lodge on the Okavango Delta's edge. Tomorrow you'll explore the lush delta by boat and on foot, taking a mokoro traditional canoe ride and doing guided walks on land, depending on weather and water levels.

Okavango Delta to Chobe National Park
You're heading back into Namibia today, moving along the Caprivi Strip before crossing into Botswana through Chobe National Park. Your lodge is on the Chobe River banks, and nearby is where Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe all meet at one point. The next day includes a morning game drive in Chobe and a sunset cruise on the river where you might see elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and other animals.
