Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangkok
You'll arrive in Bangkok and head to your hotel to get settled. Your tour leader meets you at the hotel reception at 6pm for a welcome meeting, so that's when everything officially kicks off. If you land early, there's time to check out the Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall to get some background on Bangkok's history and culture before the group gathering.

Bangkok
Start the day with a one-hour long-tail boat cruise along Bangkok's klongs at Tha Tien Pier, watching how local people live and work along the waterways. After that, the rest of your time is yours to explore the city however you want, and there are several options for things to do on your own.

Bangkok to Khlong Noi
You'll drive for two hours to Meaklong train market, where vendors pull back their stalls as trains pass right through the middle of the market. Then you head to Khlong Noi guesthouse to settle in, followed by a boat ride through the surrounding mangroves and past fish farms. Dinner comes at the family restaurant, featuring local dishes.

Khlong Noi to Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park
Drive south to Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park and walk a 1km mangrove boardwalk where you might spot mud crabs and monitor lizards. You'll visit Phraya Nakhon Cave with its striking stalactites and a royal pavilion, or if you prefer, spend time relaxing at Laem Sala Beach instead. By evening you're staying at Dolphin Bay Resort.

Khao Sam Roi Yot to Kui Buri National Park
Head to Kui Buri National Park near the Burma border in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. A guided safari in open-air vehicles takes you through forests and grasslands with experienced rangers explaining the ecosystem. This area is known as one of Thailand's top wildlife spots, particularly for seeing elephants.

Khao Sam Roi Yot
This day is completely free. Relax on the beach or by the hotel pool at whatever pace you want, no scheduled activities.

Prachuap Khiri Khan to Khao Sok National Park
You'll leave Prachuap Khiri Khan and head to Pranburi train station for a southbound train that takes about five hours. When you arrive in Surat Thani, you board a bus to Khao Sok National Park, pulling in around sunset. Check into the eco-friendly lodge and settle into the calm natural surroundings.

Khao Sok National Park
Morning takes you on a guided jungle walk through Khao Sok looking for monkeys, hornbills, and kingfishers among bamboo, fig trees, palms, and carnivorous pitcher plants. In the afternoon you'll kayak down the Khao Sok River, with time to swim and spot wildlife from the water.

Cheow Lan Lake
Travel to Cheow Lan Lake on Khao Sok's eastern side and board long-tail boats for a tour past towering limestone cliffs and emerald waters. You'll check into a traditional Thai-style floating bungalow, then spend the day swimming or kayaking in the morning, having a traditional southern Thai lunch, trekking through the jungle, spotting wildlife by boat in the afternoon, and eating dinner at an open-air lakeside restaurant.

Cheow Lan Lake to Khao Lak
Leave the jungle behind and head to the beaches of Khao Lak overlooking the Andaman Sea. After a long-tail boat ride back to the pier, a two-hour drive gets you to your hotel. Check in and spend the rest of the day exploring the nearby beaches.

Similian Islands National Marine Park
You'll take a speedboat out to the Similian Islands National Marine Park, which has nine islands with five open to visitors. The day centers on snorkeling at excellent spots with all gear provided, plus a delicious Thai lunch prepared by your crew.
