Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Grand Junction to Moab

    You'll start with a welcome meeting before heading out to the Colorado River for a full day of Class III-IV rafting through the Black Granite Gorge. The route takes you past towering red sandstone monuments in this remote canyon where you'll paddle and stop for a riverside picnic. Later you'll shuttle to Canyonlands Inn in Moab and have your first group dinner there.

  2. Day 2

    Canyonlands National Park

    After breakfast at the hotel, you'll bike through Canyonlands National Park starting at Grand View Point and checking out Mesa Arch on a short hike. The ride continues north along the Island in the Sky route with several scenic stops along the way. You'll have a picnic lunch at Dead Horse Point Overlook, then ride 10 miles downhill to the Colorado River. Back at the inn you'll have free time before heading into town for dinner.

  3. Day 3

    Delicate Arch and More

    You'll hike to Delicate Arch after breakfast at the hotel, taking in the views throughout the trail. From there you'll continue to Landscape Arch, the planet's largest natural rock arch, where you'll eat a sack lunch surrounded by the rock formations. The day finishes with hikes to Window, Turret and Double Arch before a group dinner at a local restaurant.

  4. Day 4

    Potash Road Biking and Slickrock

    Breakfast in town kicks off the day before you bike Potash Road alongside the Colorado River for 21 km with stops to see ancient petroglyphs. After the leisurely ride and picnic lunch, you'll trade your bike for a Hummer to explore Moab's slickrock terrain. Dinner is on your own with several restaurant options within walking distance on Main Street.

    Canyonlands Needles District

    You'll have breakfast in town, then spend the full day in Canyonlands National Park's Needles District. Stop at Newspaper Rock to see the countless petroglyphs on the way out. The main hike starts at Elephant Hill Trailhead through desert country to Chesler Park Viewpoint, which is 10 km with 152m elevation gain. You'll eat lunch on the trail in a shady spot, then head back to Moab for a farewell dinner at Desert Bistro.

    Fisher Towers and Departure

    Your final morning includes one last hike to Fisher Towers for views from the Titan Lookout, a 3.2 km trail. After lunch together, you'll head back to Grand Junction to say your goodbyes and depart for home.
