The staff was exceptional, always attentive, and the food was delicious. Cruising along the Nile, we enjoyed the breathtaking countryside, which provided a soothing sense of tranquility. The Egyptian monuments exceeded our expectations, even more impressive in person than in photos—massive and awe-inspiring! Aside from Rosie and me, no one had been to Egypt before - and the trip exceeded everyone’s expectations. A couple of people came just because their spouses wanted to come, but weren’t initially very enthusiastic. Within a couple of days, they were not only thrilled about the trip, but talking about what they want to do when we come back. Of course everyone loved George and Michael, and everyone loved seeing what everyone comes to Egypt to see - but they were also so impressed by the kindness of all the Egyptians with whom we came in contact. There were a couple of times during our week on the Amirat that we stopped and met with villagers and saw how they lived - and everyone was thrilled to do so. Really, everything was perfect. At first I was concerned about going to the GEM when there is so little open to the public, but everyone was astounded by our visit, and can’t wait to come back when it is completely open. And I must mention how spectacular our stay at the Old Cataract Hotel was. I’ve stayed at some wonderful hotels in my life, but my room at the Old Cataract was my favorite room ever - it was so beautiful I thought at first I had been given the Churchill Suite! Thank you so much. I speak not only for myself in thanking you for all your hard work. All my friends were equally impressed, and several told me that I was so lucky to have found you.
