Itinerary

Day 1
Nairobi to Maasai Mara
A vehicle picks you up from your Nairobi hotel at 8am for the drive to Maasai Mara. You'll pass through the Great Rift Valley where there's a stop to take in the views from above. Along the way, you'll have a picnic lunch before arriving at the lodge to check in. After settling in, you head back out for an afternoon game drive looking for wildlife around 2pm or 3pm. Dinner happens back at the lodge that evening.

Day 2
Maasai Mara
Your entire day focuses on exploring Maasai Mara in search of the Big Five. You'll do game drives with picnic lunches served in the reserve, and there's time spent along the Mara River banks where wildlife congregates. If you're interested, optional activities like a Masai village cultural tour or an early morning hot air balloon safari can be arranged for an additional fee. The day moves at a pace that lets you really take in the landscape and wildlife.

Day 3
Maasai Mara to Nairobi
An early morning game drive gets you out before sunrise to catch the light breaking over the reserve. After returning, you'll have a late breakfast around 9am or 10am. From there, you're driven back toward Nairobi for the return journey. Your tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel or accommodation, completing your Mara experience.

An incredible experience. Blown away by the quantity and diversity of animals we encountered and especially how close we were able to get, whilst always respecting the rules (which not all drivers do!). Peter the guide and driver was exceptional. Drives between locations was long and the 'roads' are often appalling. If we were to do it again we would have picked the Landcruiser for this reason. Didn't affect our enjoyment of the safari itself, but Landcruiser would have been quicker and easier to pick its way through the roads. Dom deserved a driving award for how he got the minivan along some of those roads!

My wife and I traveled to Kenya for our honeymoon and organized a safari to Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara with Gracepatt. The company was incredibly communicative and planned everything we asked for perfectly. On arrival, we were paired with our guide Steve, who turned out to be the best guide we could have possibly asked for. Steve expertly navigated tough roads, spotted tons and tons of animals, and used his deep knowledge of animal behavior and Masai culture to give us incredibly deep insight into all of Kenya's animals and Kenyan life and culture. We saw all of the Big Five and so so much more. We joked throughout the safari that any time Steve picked up his binoculars to get a better view of something that we ourselves would have never noticed in the distance, we were about to see something great. By the end, Steve wasn't just our expert guide but was also a great friend. We'd recommend Gracepatt Ecotours Kenya to anyone traveling to Kenya for a safari and we especially highly recommend our incredible guide Steve.

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
