Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Jerusalem

    Start early from the Mount of Olives to catch the views over Jerusalem's new city and the Temple Mount area. You'll head down into the Kidron Valley to reach the Garden of Gethsemane, where you can walk around the ancient olive groves. After that, move into the Old City where you'll see the Armenian Quarter, then the Western Wall and Christian Quarter on your way to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. The route takes you along the Byzantine Cardo through the Jewish Quarter. Later, head up to Mt. Zion before wrapping up with time in the new city. By evening, visit Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum to finish the day.

  2. Day 2

    Judean Desert - Jericho

    Drive out to Bethlehem this morning and spend time at the Church of Nativity, going down into the cave where you can see the birthplace. Walk around Manger Square and check out the Greek and Catholic churches in the area, then visit the Milk Grotto. From there, head into the Judean desert for the landscape views, stopping at the Inn of the Good Samaritan along the way. Continue on to Jericho where you'll see the Zacheus Sycamore tree and explore the Mound of Ancient Jericho before heading back to your hotel later in the afternoon.

  3. Day 3

    Jerusalem Old City

    Begin at the Mount of Olives visiting the place of the Ascension and Pater Nostra church, where the Lord's Prayer is displayed in 123 languages. Take in the overview of Jerusalem and the Old City from here. Next, descend to Dominus Flevit and then reach the Garden of Gethsemane to see the Church of All Nations. Enter the Old City through the Lion's Gate and walk to the Pools of Bethesda at the Church of St. Anne. You'll see the ancient Roman pavement beneath the Sisters of Zion convent, then walk the entire Via Dolorosa route ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

    Galilee Region

    Travel north through the coastal plain and the valley of Armageddon toward Nazareth. Once there, visit the Churches of Annunciation and St. Joseph. Pass through Cana to see the Church of the Miracle of the Multiplication before continuing to Capernaum at the base of Mount Beatitudes. Head past Tiberias to reach Yardenit, where baptismal services are available if you're interested. The return journey takes you back via Mount Tabor.
